RESOLUTION NO. 31,31 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COM- MENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEX- ATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. '-., , ',.,.- :'",j~j-, _~-':'J1i.;~~,. ;"" have filed with the City Counoil a written request, requesting the oonsent of the City Council of the City of Anaheim to the commencement of proceedings for the annexation of the herein- after desoribed territory to the CHy of Anaheim, and stating that said territory is inhabited territory and is oontiguous to the City of An she im; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that it would be to the advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim and to the qualified eleotors residing within said territory to pennit the above named proponents to commenoe prooeedings for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, upon the conditions hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City Planning Com~ission and its report and reoommendations reoeived reoommending the granting of oonsent to commence prooeedings for annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the oonsent of the City Counoil be, and it is hereby given to said proponents to commenoe prooeedings for the annexation of the hereinafter described territory to the City of Anaheim, upon the following oonditions: First: That the proposal for annexation of said terri- tory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to and reported upon to the proponents by the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, with respeot to the definiteness and certainty of proposed boundaries. ,~. Second: That no petition be oirculated for the annexa- tion of said territory until after notioe of intention to cirou- late suoh petition nas been published as required by law, and a copy of suoh notine and an affidavit of publioation has been fUed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10) days after the date cf publioation of said notioe, and a resolu- tion has been adopted by the City Counoil of the City of Anaheim aoknowledging reoeipt of said notioe and approving the oircula- tion of said petition. Third: That the oiroulation of any petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall not be commenced until twenty-one (21) days after the publioation of said notice of intention to 0 iroulate the same. " .~ KATELLA ANNEXATION ;i:~~ A parcel of land being a portion of Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the existing Anaheim City Limits line as established by the Disneyland Annexation to the City of Anaheim, Annexation Noo 48 as passed by Ordinance No. 932 on October 13, 1954 and filed with the Secretary of State on Dec- ember 30, 1954, said point being the point of intersection of a line parallel to and 40000 feet northerly, as measured at right angles from south line of said Section 22 (said south line also being the centerline of Katella Avenue), and a line parallel to and 30.00 feet westerly, as measured at right angles, from the east line of said Section 22 (said east line also being the center- line of Haster Street); thence, 1. Anaheim Une of Une of Northerly 1200 feet, more or less, along said existing City Limits Line and also along said line parallel to east Section 22, to a point in the southwesterly right of way Manchester Avenue; thence 2. Northwesterly 340 feet, more or less, along said existing Anaheim City Limits Line and also along said southwesterly right of way line of Manchester Avenue to an angle point in said right of way line; thence 3. Westerly 60 feet, more or less, along said existing Anaheim City Limits Line and also along said right of way line of Manchester Avenue to an angle point in said right of way line; thence 40 Northwesterly 2200 feet, more or less, along said existing Anaheim City Limits Line and also along said southwesterly right of way line of Manchester Avenue to an angle point in said existing Anaheim City Limits Line; thence 5. Northeasterly along said existing Anaheim City Limits Line, and also along a line crossing said Manchester Avenue at right angles to its centerline, to a point which is the most southeasterly right of way corner of Midway Drive and said Manchester Avenue; thence 6.
