RESOLUTION NO. 3122
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING 'IHAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVnmNT, TO WIT:
THE IMPROVEMENT OF SOUTH STREET A FROH LEMON
STREET TO PALM STREET. PROJECT O. 45

THEREOF; AUTHOIiT:aNG THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCOHDANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFI CATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, publio convenienoe and neoessity require the
construotion and completion of a publio improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of South Street, from Lemon
Street to Palm Street, by excavation, paving
with 4-inoh plant-mix, adjusting existing
manholes to gra.de, construction of concrete
oross-gutters, and appurtenant work, as in-
dicated on the plans, Project No. 45
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instruoted George E.
H9~Oke, City E~ineer to prepare detailed designs,
pl~nsJ profiles, rawings and speoifications, and estimates of
quanti ties and costs.. and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said City Engineer has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications for the con-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that the detailed de-
si~s, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said public
impTovemro't above mentioned are in acoordanoe with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City o~ Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
th e purpose s for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said public improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specifications for said publio improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said City Engineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
sha 11 be oonstruoted in acoordanoe with sai d detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations as prepared by said
Cltf-Engineer and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modflcations thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bi ds th er efor 0

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City' Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and She is hereby, authorized and directed to
pUblish a notioe aooording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, servioes, materials and equip-
ment, ~~d all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
,- and water, am performing all work neoessary to construct and com-
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, in str10t aooordance with
said detailed designs, PlanSl prOfiles, drawings and speoifioa-
tions as prepared by said C ty Englmeer , the public improve-
ment hereinabove mentioned and described, and fixing the 28th
day of February , 195 6 , at the hour of 7:00 o'olook P.N.
as the c:ate-7r.J hour for tneopening of said bids at the City
Counoil Gl:..a>n;;:s in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that saic~ Y' :),.:' r.e shall be publiShed tWioe, the first of whioh
publications :::lIo11 be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for thFJ~~;e"'~~g of bids, and that said publications shall
be at least five (~J days apart.
