A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING '!HAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVElffiNT, TO WIT:

AND APPROiTING THE DESI:GNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF; AU'IHCRIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMEN'l' IN ACCORDANCE WIT.d SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR 'IHE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, publio oonvenienoe and neoessity require the
oo~struotion and oompletion of a publio improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of Cerritos Avenue_ from Walnut
Street to 1300 reet. moreor less, West of the
Southern Pacific Railroad, by excavation_ paving
with 4-inch plant-mix, adjusting existing man-
holes to grade, oonstruotion of concrete cross-
gutters, and appurtenant work as indicated on
the plans, Job No. 110.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed George E.
~oke. City ED~1neer. to prepare detailed designs,
PISh$" profiles, rawings and specifioations, and estimates of
quantities and costs,. and make neoessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said publio improvement; and
WHEREAS, said City Engineer has prepared said detailed
des~gns, plans, prOfiles, drawings and speoifications for the con-
struotion of said publio improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Gouno 11; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed de-
Signs, plans, prOfiles, drawings and speoifioations for said public
im.pl'ovem€l1't above mentioned are in acoordanoe with good engineering
praotioe and are adeqllate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
th e Purpose s for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the oonstruotion of said public improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed deSigns, plans, prOfiles, draw-
ings and specifications for said publio improvement hereinabove
mentioned and desoribed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said Citv EnI:1':!neer .
AND BE IT FUR'IHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
shall be construoted in aooordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, prOfiles, drawings and speoifications as prepared by said
~ ~~neer and hereby approved, and suoh addenda or
mooi'ioa ions thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bi ds th er efor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and direoted to
publish a notioe aocording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, laborl servioes, materials and equip-
ment, and all utilities and transportationl inoluding powerl fuel
and water, and performing all work neoessary to construct and oom-
plete in a good and workmanlike mannerl in strlot aooordanoe with
said detailed designsl plans, prOfiles, drawings and specifica-
tions 3.8 rrepared by said Ci~V Ell/rineer , the publio improve-
ment he:>>einabvve mentioned an described, and fixing the 28th
day of' .1'ebr1.gl.I'] , 195 6 , at the hour of 7: 00 0 lolook P.M.
as the c,~:tf)L::c.l hour for tneopening of said bids at the City
Council Ch1:l';l~)'::'s in the City Hall in the City or Anaheim, and
