A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUItCIL OF THE Crry
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETJillMINING THAT A
CHANGE OF ZONE IS NECESSARY lN CERTAIN AREAS
OF 'lEE CITY AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2
OF THE ANAHEIJII MUNICIPAL COD1l: SHOULD BE AMENDED
TO ACCOMPLISH SAID CHANGE OF ZONE.
WHEREAS, the City Planning CQmmission of the City of
Anaheim has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution de-
claring its intention to ohange the boundaries of the zone or
zones hereinafter mentioned and desori~ed and did fix a time and
plaoe tor the holding of a public hearIng thereon in the manner
and as prescribed in Artiole IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim
~icipal Code, and did duly hold and conduct two publio hearings
to oonsider suoh proposed change of zone or zones and did re-
ceive evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following
the final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly
announoe by formal resolution its find$ngs of faots and declare
ita opinions and reasons for reoommending an amendment to said
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim MUnicipal Code to effect
the proposed changes of the boundaries of the zone hereinafter
~ntioned and desoribed; and
WHEREAS, upon reoeipt of the report and recommendation
~r the City Planning Commission, the City Coun~il d1d thereupon
fix the 31st day of Janu.ary , 19)6 , as the time
and the Counoil Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim
.. the place for a pUblic hearing upon said proposed change of
zone and did give notice thereof in the manner and as proVided
in said Artiole IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Counoil did duly hold and conduct suoh publiC
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportu-
nity to be heard and did reoeive evidenoe and reports and did
th8reupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning
COl1l11ission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council do es find and determine that
the property and area proposed to be ohanged from the zone in
Whioh it is now situated to a different zone as hereinafter set
forth, is more suitable for the zone or zones to whiCh it is
proposed to change said property and area and that the inol usion
of said property and area in suoh new zone or zones will increase
the value of said property and area and will not depreoiate the
values of property in adjoining zones.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, de-
scribed as follows, to wit:
All that area annexed to the City of Anaheim 1n
the Fr..way Annexation.

That all of the area 1nclud.d in the Freeway
Annexation shall be reclasstfied to M-l, LIGHT
MANUFACTURING ZONE, with th~ exception of that

of Katella Avenue, which st~1p shall be re-
class1f1ed to ~-L, PARKING-LANDSCAPING ZONE.
BE IT FUF,1H~R RZSOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
h~ is hereby, authorized and direct~d to prepare anc submit to
th~ Oity Counoil an amendment to Artic::i.e .IX, Chapter a of the
An.hd1m Municipal Code to amend said AnahSim l1u..11j,cipal Coda to
ac~ompl1sh the obj~ot herein found and determined to be n00easary
an<l proper.
