A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LEASE TO BE MADE AND
ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
AS LESSOR, AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA BY AND
THROUGH ITS DULY APPOINTED, QUALIFIED AND ACTING
ADJUTANT GENERAL, AS LESSEE, FOR THE USE OF
CERTAIN AREA IN THE CITY HALL FOR CONDUCTING
THEREIN THE BUSINESS OF THE STATE, AND FIXING
THE RENTAL THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the State of Cali-
fornia has requested a lease for the exclusive use of three rooms
and rest rooms in the basement of the City Hall, a block brick and
reinforced concrete building, located at 204 East Center Street,
Anaheim, California, comprising approximately 3,000 square feet
of net useable space, said rooms and space to be used for the
purpose of conducting therein the business of the State; and
WHEREAS, the State of California acting by and through
its duly appointed, qualified and acting Adjutant General has
submitted to the City Council a form of lease for the leasing of
the above described property for a term of two years and one month,
31st day of each succeeding month thereafter during the term of
said lease upon oresentation by the Lessor of invoices in duplicate

for each payment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the purposes for
the use of the remainder of the City Hall by the City of Anaheim
to be leased by the State of California will not be needed by the
City of Anaheim during the period of time covered by said lease 1

and that the rental proposed to be paid therefor by the State of

California is a reasonable rental for the use of said space for
the term specified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE City of Anaheim that the rooms and space hereinabove mentioned
and described be leased to the State of California for the term
and upon the condition hereinabove mentioned and for the rental
in the amount and payable in the manner hereinabove set forth and
that said rooms and space shall be used by the State of California
for conducting therein the business of the State; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the form of lease submitted
by the Adjutant General of the State of California No. 3149 dated.
December :1, 1952, be, and the same is hereby, approved, and the
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said lease for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim and upon the
terms and conditions herein specified and set forth.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
