A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
INTEREST AND NECESSITY R.I'' UIRES THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
THE EAST NORTH STREET IMPROVEMENT WITHIN THE Y
OF ANAHEIM, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
AND APPROVING TL "DESIGN, PLAITS, SPECIFICATIONS
AND DRAWINGS FOR THE CONSTRUCTIONT THEREOF, AUTH-
ORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION C SAID PUBLIC IMPROVE-
1'11NT IN ACCORDAI_1CT WITH SAID PLANS AND SPECIFI-
CATIONS, AND AUTHORI ZI1IC• Ai' DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PU3LISH A NOTICE INVITING SEALED
PROPOSALS FOR THT CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity requires the con-
struction and completion of a public improves „ent in the City of
Anaheim, to wit: The East forth Street improvement consisting of
the paving of East North Street from Orange Street to Olive Street
in the City of Anaheim, Orange County, California, including manholes
and appurtenant work.
WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the City Engineer to
prepare detailed designs, plans and specifications for the construct-
ion of said public improvement; and
':!HEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared said detailed design
ad detailed plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the
construction of said public improvement and has submitted the same
to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the plans and specifica-
tions for said public imnrove::lent above T.nentioned are in accordance
with good engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs
and requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the purposes for which it is intended and that the
plans and specifications are adequate for the construction of said
nubile improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the plans and specifications for said public improve-
ment hereinabove mentioned and described be, and the same are

hereby approved and adopted as prepared by the City Engineer.
a: ?D DI :T TURTT ER RESOLVED that said public improvement shall
be constructed in accordance with said design, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and hereby
approved, and such addenda or modifications thereto as may be approved
prior to the awarding of bids therefor; and
;E 7T FDRTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
_a;naheiii be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to publish a
notice according to law inviting sealed :proposals for the furnishing
of all plant, labor, services, ;materials and equipment, and all util-
ities and trans)ortation, including power, fuel and water and perform-
ing all work necessary to construct and complete in a good and work
manlike manner, in strict accordance with said detail, design and
detailed flans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer,
the public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described, and fixing
the 23rd day of December 1052 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.i�.
as the elate and hour for the opening of said bids at the City Council
Chamber in the City ::Tall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice
shall be published twice, the first of which publication shall be at
least ten (10) clays prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids,
and that said publications shall be at least five (5) clays apart.
ai D 22 IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bicUers shall be required to enter into a contract with the City of
Anaheim in the wanner and form approved by the City Attorney of the
City of naheim for the construction, installation and completion of
said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described, in ac-
cordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City
Engineer, the notice inviting sealed proposals, this resolution and
all applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and the in-
e rance in the amounts and within the time required by law, as
specified ecified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a form
approved by the City Attorney.
