A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE crTY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING 'IHAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPRovnrnNT, TO WIT:

THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITrl SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, E'l'C.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE ntVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, publio convenienoe and neoessity require the
construotion and oompletion of a publio improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wi t :
The Crescent Avenue Street Improvement, from
Manchester Avenue to Brookhurst Avenue, con-
sisting of excavation, construction of 5-inch
plant-mix surfaoing, adjusting existing man-
holes to grade, and appurtenant work as indicated
on the plans, Job No. 107.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instruoted Georae E.
H~J..1~er C?D: Eni~ee!, to prepare detailed designs,
p ,ansJ pro iles, raw ngs and speoifioations, and estimates of
quantities and costs, and make neoessary surveys for the oonstruc-
tion of said publio improvement; and
WHEREAS, said C~ty EDaineer has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, rawings and speoifications for the con-
struction of said publio improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that the detailed de-
signs, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations for said public
improvemmt above mentioned are in aooordanoe with good engineering
PrQctioe and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
th e purpose s for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the oonstruotion of said public improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specifications for said publio improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and.
adopted as prepared by said City En~ineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said pUblio improvement
shall be construoted in aocordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations as prepared by said
~ En~ne8r and hereby approved, and such addenda or
~, ica ions thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notioe aocording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, servioes~ materials and equip-
ment, a~d all utilities and transportation, inoluding power, fuel
,~ and water, and performing all work necessary to oonstruct and oom-
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, 'in str10t accordance with
said detailed designs, plans, prOfiles, drawings and speoifioa-
tions as prepared by said ..Q.iU: ~...i'lleer , the publio improve-
ment hereiDabGve mentioned and escribed, and fixing the 'th
day of January , 195 6 , at the hour of 7:00 o'olook .M.
as the e:8te -7rd hour for tneopening of said bids at the City
Council Cb.8v;1:;-:S in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said ;.:~::.€ shall be published twio.e, the first of whioh
publications ::,::;11 'Je at least ten (10) 'days prior to the date
fixed for the r:'>a'1~.:'g of bids, and that said publications shall
be at least f~ve (~) days apart. .
AND DE I~ FURTHER R~SOLVED that the suocessful bidder
or bidders ,~:<; ~.l be required to enter into a contract wi th the
