A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING 'IHAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVn1ENT, TO WIT:
THE IMPROVEMENT OF CITRON ST~t FROM'SYCAMORE
STREF.T TO NORTH STREET. PRO~ o. 48.
A'NlJAPPROiTING THE DES[ GNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND SPECIF1:CATIONS FOR THE CONS'rRUCTION
THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCOP.DANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenienoe and neoessity require the
construotion and oompletion of a publio improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of Citron Street from Syoamore
Street to North Street, by exoavation, construotion
of 4-inch plant-mix surfaoing, adjusting existing
manholes to grade, construotion of oonorete oross-
gutters, and appurtenant work as indicated on the
plans, Projeot No. 48.

AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instructed George E.
HOfYOke, ~ Engineer, to prepare detailed designs,
pI ns, pro-rrles, drawings and speoifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs~ and make neoessary surveys for the construo-
tion of said publio improvement; and
WHEREAS, said City En~ineer has prepared said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications for the oon-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Counoil; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that the detailed de-
si~s, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications for said public
improvement above mentioned are in aooordance with good engineering
praotice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of.' Anaheim a.nd the citizens and residents in said area for
the purpose s for whiGh they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said publio improvement and should
be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and desoribed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said City En~ineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
shall be constructed in aocordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications as prepared by said
~~iineer and hereby approved, and suoh addenda or
ii!Oll: cations thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized 'and directed to
publish a notioe aooording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equip-
ment, a~d all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
- and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and oom-
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, in atr 1ct aocordance with
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifioa-
tions as prepared by said City Engineer , the public improve-
ment herei nabGve men tioned and d-esoribed, and fixing the 2ith
da.y of Janua~ ' 195 6 , at the hour of 7:00 0 'clook .M.
as the c'.8te --~:-,:.. hour for tneopening of said bids at the City
Council CL3Vrl~Y:S in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said ::-,"):.'.e shall be publiShed twioe, the first of whioh
publications :.h:::11 be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
