RESOLUTION NO. 3066
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING 'lHAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A FUEL IC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:

A"NIJAPPROVING TEE DESI:GNS, PLA:&S, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCOHDANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public oonvenienoe and neoessity require the
construotion and completion of a public improvement in the City
ot Anaheim, to wit:
The Broadway Street Improvement, from Manohester
Avenue to the Oi ty Limits, oons,isting of the re-
moval /!)f existing pavement, oonstruction of 2-inch
plant-mix surfacing, adjusting existing manholes
to grade, and appurtenant work, as indioated on
the plans, Projeot No. 47.
AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instructed the City
~~n.er to prepare detailed designs,
pans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations, and estimates of
quantities and costs" and make necessary surveys for the oonstruo-
tion of said publiC improvement; and
WHEREAS, said C~ty ~~ineerhas prepared said detailed
d.signs, plans, profiles, raw~ngs and speoifications for the con-
struction of said publio improvement and has submitted the same to
tne City Counoil; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that the detailed de-
signs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifioations for said public
iltlprovemmt above mentioned are in acoordanoe with good engineering
praotioe and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
t~e City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
the purposes for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said publio improvement and should
be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and desoribed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said En~ineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publio improvement
shall be construoted in accordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations as prepared by said
~ En~lneer and hereby approved, and suoh addenda or
mPmioations thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding ot'

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is her eby, authorized ,and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, servioes, materials and equip-
ment, and all utilities and transportation, including p<;lwer, fuel
and water, and performing all work necessary to oonstruct and com-
plete in a gooq. and workmanlike manner, in strict aooordanoe with
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings ,and specifica-
tions as prepared by said Ci~v Eniineer , the public improve-
ment he:nei r.abcve men tioned a,ll described, and fixing the ~th
day of Janua~ ' 195 6 , at the hour of 7:00 o'olook .M.
as the C2'i;e-7rc, hour for ~opening of said bids at ,the City
Council Chcl"n~Y;s in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said y;: ce shall be published twice, the first of whioh
publications ;:h~~ll be at least ten (lO) days prior to the date
fixed for the ::;:e"::,::>g of bids, and that said publications shall
be at least five L;1. days apart.
AND BE n FURTHER R:8S0LVED that the successful bidder
