A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIH FINDING AND DETERMINING '!HAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:

A'NlJAPPROVING THE DES[ GNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAW-
INGS AND S?ECIF:;:CATIONS FOR THE CONS'I'RUCTION
THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCOP~ANCE WITH SAID PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE UiVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, publio convenienoe and neoessity require the
c~nstruction and oompletion of a publio improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of Center Street, from West Street
to Thalia Street, by the removal of existing pave-
ment, exoavation, resurfaoing with 4-inch plant-mix,
adjusting existing manholes to grade, construction
of concrete oross-gutters, and appurtenant work as
indicated on the plans, Project No. 46.

AND WHEREAS, the City Counoil instruoted Georp,:e E.
lIPlyoke. Q.1 tl: En~. to prepare detailed designs,
Plans, profiles9 drawings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs~ and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said publio improvement; and
WHEREAS, said C~v ~lZine.r has prepared said detailed
d,signs, plans, profiles, raw ngs and speoifications for the con-
struction of said public improvement and has submitted the same to
the City Counc 11; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed de-
signs, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifioations for said public
improvement above mentioned are in aooordanoe with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for
th e purpose s for which they are intended, and that they are ade-
quate for the construction of said publio improvement and should
be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and speoifioations for said publio improvement hereinabove
m~ntioned and desoribed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
a~opted as prepared by said 01 ty Er.llz:ineer .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said pub110 improvement
sl;J.all be construoted in aocordanoe with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Olerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice aocording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services; materials and equip-
ment, a...,d all utilities and transportation, including power, f'uel
- and water, am performing all work neoessary to oonstruct and com..
plete in a good and workmanlike manner, in str!ot accordance with
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and speciflca-
tlonsas prepared by said ~ ~2ineer ., the public improve-
ment hereinabcve mentioned!lrj(leserlbed, and fixing the 2~th
day of J"a.z:lJ.l!o:'; , 19$6 , at the hour of 7:00 o'clook .M.
