A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING SEALED PRO-
POSALS AND AWARDING CONTRACTS TO THE
LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDERS FOR THE FURN-
ISHING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF CAST
IRON WATER PIPE AND FITTINGS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation, printed,

Anaheim Bulletin on the 10th and 16th days of October, 1952, a

Item 3: 9000 feet of 8" cast -iron pipe.
Item 4: 4000 feet of 10" cast -iron pipe.
Item 5: 10,000 feet of 12" cast -iron pipe.
Item 6: 35,000 pounds of cast -iron fittings,
20 WHEREAS, said Notice did provide that said pipe and
21 rittings shall be in accordance with "Specifications for cast -iron
22 da ter pipe Series of 1952, City of Anaheim and
WHEREAS, such Notice inviting proposals for such cast -iron

24 water pipe and fittings did provide that said sealed proposals would
be received by the City Council of the City of Anaheim at the office
bf the City Clerk of the city up to the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of

27 'uesday the 28th day of October, 1952, for the furnishing to said

WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim did receive

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the sealed proposal

furnishing of Item 2, 25,000 feet of 6" cast -iron water pipe, in
14 accordance with specifications for cast -iron water pipes Series
15 1952 of the City of Anaheim, and that said proposal of Pacific
16 States Cast Iron Pipe Company should be accepted and a contract
17 awarded to said company for furnishing said pipe to the City of
18 Anaheim, and
19 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the sealed proposal
20 of American Cast Iron Pipe Company, 412 West 6th Street, Rooms
21 1203 -4, Los Angeles 14, California, for the furnishing of Item 1,
22 ,2000 feet of 4" cast -iron water pipe, as set forth in the Notice
Inviting Sealed Proposals and Item 3, 9000 feet of 8" cast -iron

24 water pipe, and Item 4, 4000 feet of 10" cast -iron water pipe, and
25 Item 5, 10,000 feet of 12" cast -iron water pipe, and Item 6, 35,000
26 pounds Standard Bell Spigot or All Bell Fittings, for use with
27 the above pipe, all in accordance with the Notice Inviting Sealed
28 Proposals and the specifications for cast -iron water pipe Series

23 for the furnishing of said water pipe and fittings be, and the same
24 is hereby, awarded to said American Cast Iron Pipe Company.
25 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the award of contracts to
26 said companies is declared to be for the approximate quantities set
27 forth in the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals, and
28! AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Pacific States Cast
29 Iron Pipe Company and American Cast Iron Pipe Company be, and they
30 i, re hereby, required to execute contracts in required form satisfac-
