A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF AN ALLEY AND AN EASEMENT FOR ALLEY
PURPOSES UPON, OVER AND ALONG A STRIP 16 FEET
WIDE AND 188.55 FEET IN LENGTH LOCATED BETWEEN
LOTS 1 AND 2 OF TRACT 525 AS SHOWN ON A MAP
THEREOF RECORDED IN BOOK 32, PAGE 35, MISCELL-
ANEOUS MAPS, RECORDS OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA.

71 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, a municipal
8 corporation of the State of California, did on the 8th day of July,
9 1952, pass its Ordinance No. 809, entitled "AN ORDINANCE DECLARING
10 THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TO VACATE
11 AND ABANDON A PUBLIC ALLEY, THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY, IN
12 ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF STATUTES OF 1941, CHAPTER 250,
13 BEING DIVISION 9, PART 3, CHAPTERS 1 AND 2 OF THE STREETS AND HIGH-
14 WAYS CODE, AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A HEARING THEREON, AND
151 DIRECTING THE POSTING OF NOTICES THEREOF AND THE PUBLICATION OF
16 THIS ORDINANCE" whereby it declared its intention to vacate and
17 abandon and close to public use an alley and an easement for alley
18 purposes upon, over and along a strip 16 feet wide and 188.5 feet
19 in length, located between Lots 1 and 2 of Tract 525 as shown on a
20 map thereof recorded in Book 32, page 35, Miscellaneous Maps,
21 Records of Orange County, California; and
22 WHEREAS, said. City Oeuncil, in said Ordinance, referred to al
23 map on file in the office of the City Clerk for further narticulars
24 as to the proposed vacation, abandonment and closin to public use
25 of said alley and easement for alley purposes; and
26 WHEREAS, said City Council did by said Ordinance fix the
27 12th day of August, 1952, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall of
28 the City of Anaheim as the time and place of public rearing on the
29 matter of such vacation, abandonment and closing to plAblic use of
30 said alley and easement for alley purposes for all 1)ersons inter-
31 ested in or objecting to such proposed vacation, abandonment and
32 closing to public use to appear and show cause, if any they have,

1j why such alley and easement for alley purposes should not be vaoat-
21ed, abandoned, and closed to public use; and
31 WHEREAS, said Ordinance was published on July 24, 1952, in
46the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation printed,
5'published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, Orange County,
6; California; and
71 WHEREAS, by said Ordinance, said City Council directed that

8 I notice of the passage of said Ordinance and of time and place of the
4 hearing of the matter of the vacation, abandonment and closing to

public use of said alley and easement for alley purposes be posted
conspicuously along the line of said alley not more than Three Hun-
dred (300) feet apart and not less than three such notices should
be posted; and
WHEREAS, George E. Holyoke, City Engineer, did on July 23,
154952, post conspicuously three (3) notices along the line of said
16alley and easement for alley purposes, which notices were posted
17 Lless than three hundred (300) feet apart; and
1811 WHEREAS, said City Council did on August 12, 1952, at 8:00
19o'cloek P.H. at said City Hall conduct a public hearing on the

20Imatter of whether said alley and easement for alley purposes should
21be vacated, abandoned and closed to public use, and at said hearing
22 did hear evidence thereon.
23 j! NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
24 j CITY OF ANAHEIM:
25 f 1. That it finds the recitals hereinbefore set forth in
26this resolution to be true.
27 2. That it finds from all the evidence submitted that said

28alley and easement for alley purposes, described in said Ordinance, I
29 %are unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes.
30 i 3. That it does hereby order that said alley and easement

31 alley purposes be, and they are hereby, vacated, abandoned and
32 Iclosed to public use.

4. That the said alley and easement for alley purposes
2 herein ordered vacated, abandoned and closed to public use, are
3 described in said Ordinance No. 809, are situated in the City
4 of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and are more
5 particularly described as follows:
6 An alley and an easement for alley purposes upon,
over and along a strip 18 feet ,ride and 188.55
7 feet in length located between Lots 1 and 2 of
Tract 525 as shown on a. map thereof recorded in
8 Book 32, page 35, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was approved and signed by me this
