A RESOLI TION OF TH CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHli FINDING AND DTJTER °FINING
THAT A CHANGE OF ZONE IS NEC:` SARY IN
CERTAIN AREAS OF T?-E CITY AND THAT ARTICLE
IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ANAHEIP MUNICIPAL
CODs SHOULD BE AMENDED TO ACCOMPLISH SAID
CHANCE OF ZONE.
WHEREAS, the City Planning; Commission of the City of Anaheim
had heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution declaring its
inten.bion to change the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter
mentioned and described and did fix a time and place for the holding
of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and did duly
hold and conduct two public hearings to consider such proposed
change of zone or zones and did receive evidence and reports from
persons interested therein; and
`,uHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by
formal resolution its findings of facts and declare its opinions and
reasons for recommending an amendment to said Article IX, Chapter 2
of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the proposed chanres of the
?oundarics of the zone hereinafter mentioned and described; and
'FIEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon fix
the 10th day of June 1. 52 as the time and the Council
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a
public hearin{; upon said proposed change of zone and did L,ive notie,
thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX, Chapter 2
the Anaheim Eunicipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hearing,
the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing, and
did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard
and did receive evidence and reports and did thereupon consider the
recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
y'uHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be charged from the zone in which it
is now situated to a different zone as hereinafter set forth, is
more suitable for the zone or zones to which it is proposed to
change said property and area and that the inclusion of said pro
perty and area in such new zone or zones will increase the value of
said property and area and win not depreciate the values of pro
perty in adjoining zones.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the
Cit7 of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows, to wit:
The area beinnin at the Northeast corner of Tract
No. 724, extending in a 'Northerly direction Y
feet alon' North East Street; thence 'Westerly to
North Orange Street (A.T. (:c S.F. Ry); thence Southerly
a distance of 3H.25 feet, more or less, to the North-
west corner of Tract 1 72L; thence Easterly to the

to an R -3, i ultiple Family Residential Zone.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and submit to the City
'ouncii an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim
Lunicipal Code to amend said Anaheim ",unicipal Code to accomplish
the object herein found and determined to be necessary and proper.

AND YARD SPACES; ADOPTINTG A MAP SHO'JING THE
BOUNDARIES OF SAID ZONES; DEFINING THE TERMS
USED IN THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDIITG FOR ITS
ADJUSTMENT, AMENDMENT AND ENFORCEMENT; PRE-
SCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION AND REPEALING
ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT THEREWITHn, BY CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
OF ZONES R -A and R -3
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
WHEREAS the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim clid heretofore duly pass and adopt resolution declaring
its intention to change the boundaries of the zones as shown on the
sectional zoning map hereto attached and did fix a time and place
for the holding of public hearings thereon in the manner and as
prescribed in Ordinance No. 774 of the City of Anaheim, and did
duly hold and conduct two public hearings to consider such proposed
change of zones and did receive evidence and reports from persons
interested therein; and
ZTHERTAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce
by formal resolution_ its findings of facts and state its opinions
and reasons for recommending an amendment to said Ordinance to
effect the proposed changes of the boundaries of said zones; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon fix
the 10th day of June 19 52, as the time and the Council
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for
a public hearing upon said proposed change of zones and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said Ordinance No.
774; and

WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did thereupon
consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, on the 24th day of June
19 52, adopt Resolution No. 1977, finding and determining that the
changes of zones as shown on the sectional zoning map hereto
attached are desirable and will be beneficial to the areas in which
the changes of zones are proposed and will not depreciate the value
of properties in adjoining zones; and
WHEREAS the City Council does find and determine that
Section 3 of City Ordinance No. 774 should be amended by changing
R Residential- Agricultural and
the boundaries of zones R -3, Multiple Family Residential
as shown on the sectional zoning map hereto attached and made a
part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 3 of Ordinance 11o. 774 of the City of Anaheim,
entitled, AY ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ZOI'ES IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AND TFERE; N REGULATING THE USE OF LAND, HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS, AND
YARD SPACES; ADOPTING A YAP SHO';ING THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID ZOITES;
DEFINING THE TERMS USED I11 THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDIYIC FOR ITS ADJUST-

THEREWITH" be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the
R -A, Residential Agricultural and
boundaries of zones R -3, Multiple Family Residential
in the manner and to the extent shown on the sectional zoning map
hereto attached.
SECTION 2.
That the sectional map hereto attached, showing said

changes of zone, be and the same is hereby adopted, and that the
sane shall be incorporated in and made a part of the comprehensive
zoning map of the City of Anaheim, and that said City Zoning Map
is hereby amended accordingly.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordin-
ance and shall cause the same to be printed and published once
within fifteen 0.5) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulle-
tin, a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its
final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was approved and signed by me this
