A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM URGING
THE COLLIER COMMITTEE TO CONSIDER THE MAJOR HIGHWAY NETWORK
INCLUDING COUNTY ROADS AND MAJOR CITY STREETS AS WELL AS A
STATE HIGHWAYS IN THEIR DELIBERATIONS.
WHEREAS, the proposed connecting link between the Brea Canyon Highway and
the Santa Ana Freeway by way of Placentia Road and its extension across the oil
fields east of Fullerton and Brea into the Brea Canyon Road includes not only a
State Highway but County Roads and City Streets as well and
WHEREAS, the proposed Orengethorpe Avenue connection to the Santa Ana Canyon
Freeway, the Santa Ana Freeway and the Lw g Reach and. Harbor areas by way of a
diagonal road near the Orange County —Ias Angeles County Line intersecting all
major highways approaching the west side of the San Gabriel River includes not
only a State Highway but County Roads and other roads as well, and
WHEREAS, many other portions of an adequate highway network in Orange County
involve major City Streets and County Roads, as well as State Highways, and
N04, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the Collier Committee be and it is hereby urged to consider all of these
various types of highways in their deliberations pertaining to the State Highway
System.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
day of May, 1952.
