16 WHEREAS, the United States of America did, on the 4th day of
17 November, 1949, assign and transfer all of its right, title, and
18 interest in and to said contract and said project to the City of

Anaheim.
20 WHEREAS, on August 6, 1947, the State of California and the
21 City of Anaheim entered into a written agreement for allocation of
22 State aid, wherein the Department of Finance allocated to the City
23 of Anaheim from the appropriation made in Chapter 29, Statutes of
24 1946 (First Extra Session) as amended, the sum of Nineteen Thousand
25 Eight Hundred Forty -Two (*19,842.00) Dollars for use on said project,
26 which said sum has been repaid to the State of California, and the
27 agreement for allocation dated August 6, 1947, and any and all

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT CER-
TAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY IS NO LONGER NEEDED
FOR PUBLIC USE: AUTHORIZING THE SALE THEREOF
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE
PURCHASE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the United States of America, acting by and through
the Commissioner of the Federal Public Housing Authority and the
of the Lanham Act, said contract being No. HA (V -4386) mph -1.
WHEREAS, said Federal Housing Project was completed, consist-
amendments and supplements thereto, was terminated on the 10th day
29 of April, 1951.

buildings and housing project units: and

8 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
9j of Anaheim, that all said buildings and housing units in what is
10 known and designated as the Veterans Housing Project, consisting
11 of the following items:
12 The buildings designated as units numbers 1 to 10
inclusive, located at 409 East La Palma Avenue,
13 and the buildings designated as units numbers 11
14 i to 36 inclusive, located at 1000 to 1050 North
Olive Street, City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, and one frame laundry house,
15 f 16 x 25 feet in size together with the following
equipment:
Toilets, bathroom sinks, kitchen sinks, laundry
17 trays, shower baths, hot water heaters, wiring,
breakers, electric fixtures and appertances
be sold at public sale to the highest and best bidder therefore,
either as a whole, or in separate units, or in any combination

WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that it is
no longer necessary or to the best interests of the City of Anaheim,
to operate and maintain said housing project as such; and that said
buildings and housing units are no longer needed for public use;
and that it would be to the advantage and for the best interests
said buildings and housing units be
RESOLVED by the City Council of the Citj
thereof which is to the advantage and best interest of the City of
Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to,publish
a notice in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circula-
tion, printed and published in the City of Anaheim, inviting sealed
proposals for the purchase of the buildings, units and equipment
hereinabove mentioned and described, designating the 13th day of
May, 1952, at 8 :00 otclock P.M. in the Council Chamber of the City
Hall at Anaheim, California as the time and place for the opening
of said bids, and said date is hereby fixed for the opening of
said bids.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said buildings and 06epa,rty
shall be sold for cash to the highest and best bidder and the City
Council reserves the right to accept bids for the whole of said
property, or separate units thereof, or any combination thereof as
may be found and determined to be for the best interest of the City
of Anaheim, and reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all such buildings and
equipment must be removed from the premises by the bidder or bidders
whose bid or bids are accepted, within thirty (30) days after the
acceptance of such bid or bids, and that said bidders shall enter
into a contract with the City of Anaheim which shall provide that
moval of said buildings.
THE FOREGOING RFSOLUTION assigned and approved by me this
22nd day of April, 1952.
