A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO LEASE
CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
FOR THE DRILLING FOR AND PRODUCTION OF OIL,
GAB AND OTHER HYDRO-CARBON SUBSTANCES THERE-
FROM AND SPECIFYING THE MINIMUM RENTAL AND

a Map recorded in Book 4, pages 629 and 630 of Deeds,
reeords of Los Angeles County, California, and described
as beginning at a point in the West line of said Vine-
yard Lot NG3 150 feet South 15° 30 East from the
Northwest earner of said Lot; running thence North
74 30e East and parallel to the North line of said

WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that it
would be to the advantage and for the best interest of th e City of
Anaheim to lease the subsurface of said property lying below a
depth of 200 feet for the exploration thereof and the production of
oil, gas and other hydro-oarbon substances therefrom by means of
slant drilling from surface locations outside the outer boundaries
of any such property or from designated locations inside the outer
boundaries of such property, which inside locations will not inter-
fere substantially with the use of any of such property for park,
highway, street, walk or playground purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and d.eterminea that any
of the above described property now being used for parks highways,
streets, walks or playground purposes will not be substantially
interfered with by the drilling for oil or gas beneath the surface
of any such property by means of slant drilling from sturface loca-
tions to be designated by the City Council as provided in Ordinance

NOW, TRS REFORV BS IT ABSOLVXD by the City Council of
City of Anaheim that it does hereby dealere its intention of
leasing the subsurface of real property and premises hereinabove
mentioned nd desoribed lying below a depth of 200 feet, for the
esploration for and the production of oil, gas and other hydro-
carbon substanees by means of slant drilling, from a surface loca-
tion or looations to be designated by the City Council of the City
of knaheim as provided in City Ordinance NO. 788, which location
or locations will not substantially interfere with tbe use of such
property for any publio purpose and partioularly with its use for
park, highway, etreet, walk or playground purposes.
AND
IT FURTEER IPESOINTO that the minimum term for whi
th
said pro rty will be leased obeli be ix months and th 4 maximum
term for wOich said property shall be leased shall be twenty Years
and that the minimum rental for which said property shall be leased
hall be 4 2.00 per acre per month, payable six months th advance,
and that the minimum royalty shall be not less than one-sixth Of
all oil, gas and other hydro -oarbon substances produoed and removed
from said premises and that the form of le e which the successful
bidder will be required to enter into with the City shall be Form

terms herein specified and any applicable provisions of the laws of
California or Oity Ordinances of the City of knaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHOR RISOLVOD that a public meeting be held
by the City Counoil on the 20th day of February, 1952, at which
meetino sealed proposals to lease the hereinabove described property
will be received and oostdered. IUI wuoh propoeals shall be
filed with the City Clerk of said City of knahsim on or before
800 o'clock P.M. of said date. The City Council hereby reserves
the riht to reject any or 11 proposals or to accept sealed pro
posale separately or colleotively in such combinations as the Oity

the Oity Council of the City of Anaheim be, and the same is hereby,
raoinded.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and he ie hereby, authorized and directed to
cause a copy of this resolution to be published once a week for
three sucoessi've weeks prior to the date of said hearing in the
Anaheim Bul4etin, a newspaper of general circulation printed nub—
lished and circulated in th City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
