WHEREAS, tbo City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the llth day of January, 1952, receive a written petition askine that certain new territory described it said petition 'DE annexed to the City of Anaile and WHEREAS, said territory° proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim 3s situated in ti-le County of Orange, State of Oaifornia, and is coat ;uous to the City of Anaheim and is uninh territory, and said petition contai a description of said territory ir. words and figures as hereinafter in this Resolu- tion described; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received that at the time of the filir and receipt of said petition, it was and now is signed by owners of rot less than one- fourth (4) of the area and not less than oae- fourth of the assessed valuation of the land+ in such territory proposed to be annexes'., accordinL to the last preceding equalized county assessment roll; and WHEREAS, the City Cou cil finds frcu evidence and reports received and from said petition that at the time of the filing and presentation of said pet- ition that said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a part of any municipal corporation qnd that said territory was un- inhabited and is contiguous to the C'.ty of Anaheim; and "tTEREAS, the City Counc'.1 finds from said petition and evidence and reports receivec' that the boundaries of the territory -:o proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows: A tract of laud including Lots 1 and 3 of Tract No. 153 (otherwise known as the Monroe E. Wallace Sub- division) as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 11, Page 46, Miscella- neous Maps, Records of Oranee County, produced; thence Nortnwardly along said easterly line of Lot 3 of Tract No. 153 prodced and the easterly lire of Lot 3 and Lot 1 to the southerly line of East La Palma Avenue (otherwise known as Nast North Street); thence Westwardly along said southerly line of East La Palma Avenue a distance of 536.46 feet, more or less, to a point on the present city limit lire of the Cit ofAnaheim, said lire also being the westerly line of said Lot 1 of Tract No. 153; thence Southwardly along the present city limit line of the City of Anaheim and the westerly line of Lot 1 and Lot 3 of said Tract No. 153 and the westerly llro of said Lot 3 extended to the point of beginning. of January, 1952. NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF That such proposed annexation be designated as MONROE E. WALLACE ANNEXATION and that notice of such proposed annexation be and the same is hereby given; and. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 26th day of February, 1952, at the hour of 8:00 O'clock P.M., at the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim, be and the same where any person owning annexed, and having any the City Council of the not be so annexed; that all persons having any objections to such proposed annexation are hereby notified to appear on said day at said hour and place to show cause, if any they have, why such territory should not be so annexed; and BE IT FURTHEE RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he iv hereby author- ized and directeo to publish or cause a copy of this Resolution to be published at least once a week for two successive weeks prior to the 26th (.1,y of February, 1952, in the ANAHEIM BULLETIN, a newspaper of general erculation, published in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and in the Santa Ana Begiater,a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approves by me this 22nd day is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when and real property within said territory so proposed to be objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before City ar Anaheim and show cause why such territory should -2- MAYOR OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM L 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 STATE OP CALIFORNIA COUNTY OF ORANGE ss.
