1951-18911 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. -1- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGINGF RECEIPT OF A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION 07 CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OP ANA IM, GFIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERE ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRI- TORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE wHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OP ANAHEIM. //A( WHEREAS,, the City Council or the City or Anaheim aid on the kith day of J Y receive a written pet\.tion asking that certain new territory de- scribed in said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this Resolu- tion described; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received that at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one- fourth of the area and not less than one fourth or the assessed valuation or the land in such territory proposed to be annexed according to the last preceding equalised county assessment roll; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received and from said petition that at the time of the filing and presentation of said petitio that said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and evidence and re- ports received that the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows: A tract of land including Lots 1 and 3 of Tract No. 153 (otherwise known as the Monroe E. Wallace Subdivision) as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 11, Page 46, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, and also including a portion or East Sycamore Street in the County of Orange, State or California, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the present northerly city line of the City of Anaheim, said point being on the monumented center line of East Sycamore Street and 1091.73 teat easterly from the monumentea center line of North 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ANAHEIM: bast Street; thence Eastwardly along the monumented center line of said East Sycamore Street to a point of intersection with the easterly line of Lot 3, of Tract No. 153 (otherwise known as the Monroe E. Wallace Sub- division) `as -shown on a map trier; of r,,co is in Book ii Page 46, Miscella- neous Maps, Records of Orange County, produced; thence Northwardly along said easterly line of Lot 3 of Tract No. 15) produced and the easterly line ot Lot 3 and Lot 1 to the southerly line of Bast la Palma Avenue (otherwise known as East North Street); thence Westwardly along said southerly line of East La Palma Avenue a distance of 536.46 feet, more or less, to a point on the present city limit line of the City of Anaheim, said line also being the westerly line of said Lot 1 of Tract No. 153; thence Southwardly along the present city limit line of the City of Anaheim and the westerly line of Lot 1 and Lot 3 of said Tract No. 153 and the westerly line or said Lot 3 extended to the point ot beginning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Or THs CITY 07 That such proposes annexation be designated as MONROE Z.
