ELLIS AS JOINT OUTFALL SEWER ENGINEER AND THE EM- PLOYMENT OF PRESTON TURNER AS ATTORNEY FOR THE JOINT OUTFALL SEWER. WHEREAS, Burton T. Ellis was employed and served from August 10, 1949, to June 1, 1950, at a salary of *400.00 per month in the engineering department of the Joint Outfall Sewer to make preliminary surveys on the Magnolia Line; and WHEREAS, on June 1, 1950, at a regular meeting of the Executive Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer, it was moved, seconded and carried that Burton T. Ellis be designated Wengineerfl repre- senting the Joint Outfall Sewer on the Magnolia Line at $500.00 per month with transportation provided; and WHEREAS, Burton T. Ellis served in said capacity from June 1, 1950 to March 31, 1951, at which time his services termi- nated; and WHEREAS, on April 6, 1950, at a regular meeting of the Executive Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer, it was moved, seconded and carried that the Anaheim City Attorney be employed to prepare the necessary joint agreements between the Cities and Sanitary Districts in connection with the Magnolia Line; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Attorney was and is Preston Turner; and WHEREAS, Preston Turner served in said capacity from January 26, 1950, to the date hereof; and is still so serving and has been compensated therefor at the rate of $75.00 per day; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is contracting agent for the Joint Outfall Sewer; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has not heretofore adopted a resolution relating to the employment of Burton T. Ellis and Preston Turner as aforesaid. -1- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that the employment of Freston Turner as attorney for the Joint Outfall Sewer at Seventy —five Dollars ($75.00) per day to prepare the necessary joint agreements between the Cities and Sanitary Districts on the 1 agnolia Line is ratified. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the employment of Burton T. Ellis in the engineering department of the Joint Outfall Sewer to make preliminary surveys on the Magnolia Line at $400.00 per month from August 10, 1949, to June 1, 1950, .and the employment of Burton T. EllisfranJune 1, 1950, to March 31, 1951, at $500.00 per month with transportation provided as engineer representing the Joint Outfall Sewer on the Magnolia Line is ratified.
