RESOLUTION NO. 72R-296
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM OlU)ERING THE VACATION AND ABlUiDON-
MENT OF THAT PORTION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
on the 27th day of June, 1972, declare by Resolution No. 72R-274,
its intention to vacate and abandon that certain real property
described herein and did set the 18th day of July, 1972, for
a public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, on said 18th day of July, 1972, at 1:30
o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City
of Anaheim, said public hearing was held; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from the evidence sub-
mitted at said public hearing that said easements are unnecessary
for present or prospective public utility purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim;
1. That it finds that said public hearing was properly
held and that all notices were given and publications
made as required by law.
2. That that portion of the real property toward which
a request for vacation and abandonment was directed
is not necessary for present or prospective public
utility purposes and does hereby order that said
portion, as herein set forth, be and it is hereby
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use.
3. That said public utility easements herein ordered
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use are
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, and are more particularly
described as follows, to wit:
Those certain public utility easements located in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
to be abandoned, described as those certain easements
conveyed to the Southern California Edison Company by
deed dated April 1, 1913, recorded in Book 232, page 48
of Deeds, records of said Orange County, and by deed
recorded October 6, 1961, in Book 5873, page 214, Offi-
cial Records of said Orange County and transferred,
assigned and conveyed to the City of Anaheim in Instru-
ment recorded January 15, 1963, in Book 6395, page 293
through 296, records of said Orange County, described
as follows:
Parcel One: A strip of land 10 feet in width lying
wi thin the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
the Northeast quarter of Section 13, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., the centerline of said strip
being described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the easterly line of Sunkist Street
40 feet wide distant northerly 16 feet from the southerly

line of said Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter
of the Northeast quarter: thence easterly to the northwest
corner of Lot 15 of Tract 4151, as per map recorded in
Book 147, paqes 14 and 15, Miscellaneous Maps, records
of said Oranqe County.
Parcel TWo: That portion of the South half of the North-
east quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 13, Town-
ship 4 South, Ranqe 10 West, S.B.B. &M., and the South-
west quarter of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter of said Section 13, lyinq within 1 foot of the
followinq described line:
C~encinq at a point in the west boundary line five feet
north of the southwest corner of the South half Of the
Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 13,
Township 4 South, Ranqe 10 West, S.B.B. & M.: thence East
parallel to the south line and five feet northerly there-
from 1,980 feet to a well located in the Southwest quarter
of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of
Section 13, Township 4 South, Ranqe 10 West, S.B.B. &M.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of
the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of Oranqe County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and siqned by me
this 18th day of July, 1972.
