A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE JOINT COMMUNITY RECREATION PROGRAM OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, THE ANAHEIM UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE ANAHEIM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR SUCH JOINT COMMUNITY RD- CREATION PROGRAM WHEREAS, The City of Anaheim, the Anaheim Union High Schoo d the Anaheim Elementary School District desire to promote and pr erve the health and general welfare of the people of the City of naheim, the Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim Ele— entary Sohool District and to cultivate and develop good citizenship by providing for an dequate program of community recreation and to conduct such a pro ram of oommunity recreation as will contribute to the attainment f general educational and recreational objectives for the children nd adults of said City and said School Districts, and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, the Anaheim Union High Soho() nd the Anaheim Elementary Sohool District desire to oo- ►operate with aoh other to carry out the provisions of Chapter 4, Division 12 of he Education Code of the State of California, and to that end to nter into an agreement with eaoh other to organize, promote and onduct a joint program of community recreation to promote and pre erve the health and general welfare of the children and people of aid City and said School Districts, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the ity of Anaheim, that the City of Anaheim enter into an agreement ith the Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim Elementa ahool District for the following purposes: 1. To jointly organize, promote and conduct a program of ommunity recreation during the fiscal year 1951 -1952, for the gener ducational and recreational objectives for the children and adults f said City and said School Districts to promote and preserve the —1— 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim shall pay Fourteen Thousand, Six Hundred ($14,600.00) Dollars and the Anaheim Jnion High School District, Four Thousand Four Hundred and Eighty -two ($4,482.02) Dollars and Two Cents, and the Anaheim Elementary School District, Three Thousand ($3,000,'00) Dollars of the general expenses of salaries for supervisors, instructors, attendants, employees, supplies and general maintenance expenses of said community recreati program, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk o the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim for the purpose of entering into, carrying on and conducting a joint re- creation program with the Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim Elementary School District under the provision of Chapter 4, Division 12 of the Education Code and for the purpose of carrying ou the provisions of this Resolution.
