On motion of Councilman Boney duly seconded and carried,
the following Resolution was adopted:
THAT WHEREAS, under date of August 14, 1951, the Board of Supervisors of the
Orange County Flood Control District of Orange County, California, made and adopted its
Resolution requesting the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to sell to
said Orange County Flood Control District 25 acre ft. of surplus water to be im—
ported into Orange County to supplement the underground basin of Orange County to the
benefit of the people and citizenry of said county, and that
WHEREAS, a copy of said Resolution has been filed with this Council, and that
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California has requested
this City to signify its approval of the purchase of said surplus water by the Orange
County Flood Control District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that this Council does hereby signify
its approval as a member of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for
said Orange County Flood Control District to make said purchase of said 25,000 acre ft,
of surplus water.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this 21st day of August,
1951.
