RESOLUTION NO. 72R- 274
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECIJ\RING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING A DATE FOR
HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed under the provisions of the Public Service
Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, DiviSion 1, Article 5 of the
Government Code, in connection with a request for vacation and
abandonment of two public utility easements located within
Tract 7754, east side of Sunkist Street, south of South Street,
and more particularly hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to
vacate, abandon and close to public use two public utility ease-
ments located within Tract 7754, east side of Sunkist Street,
south of South Street, and more particularly described as
follows:
Those certain public utility easements located in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
to be abandoned, described as those certain easements
conveyed to the Southern California Edison Company by
deed dated April 1, 1913, recorded in Book 232, page 48
of Deeds, records of said Orange County, and by deed
recorded October 6, 1961, in Book 5873, page 214, Offi-
cial Records of said Orange County and transferred,
assigned and conveyed to the City of Anaheim in Instru-
ment recorded January 15, 1963, in Book 6395, page 293
through 296, records of said Orange County, described
as follows:
Parcel One: A strip of land 10 feet in width lying
within the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
the Northeast quarter of Section 13, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., the centerline of said strip
being described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the easterly line of Sunkist Street
40 feet wide distant northerly 16 feet from the southerly
line of said Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter
of the Northeast quarter; thence easterly to the northwest
corner of Lot 15 of Tract 4151, as per map recorded in
Book 147, pages 14 and 15, Miscellaneous Maps, records
of said Orange County.
Parcel Two: That portion of the South half of the North-
east quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 13, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., and the South-
west quarter of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter of said Section 13, lying within 1 foot of the
following described line:
Commencing at a point in the west boundary line five feet
north of the southwest corner of the South half of the
Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 13,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M.; thence East
parallel to the south line and five feet northerly there-
from 1,980 feet to a well located in the Southwest quarter
of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of
Section 13, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M.

and it elects to proceed under the prOV1S1ons of the Public
Service Easement Vacation Law, Title 5, Division 1, Article 5
of the Government Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation
and abandonment has been fixed on the 18th day of July ,
1972, at 1:30 o'clock P.M. in the Councrr-Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the
same to be published in a manner prescribed by law in the Anaheim
Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 27th day of June, 1972.
