1951-18341 2 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 ?1 22 23 24 25 26 27 2 29 30 31 32 WHEREAS, orderly and effective law enforcement is essential to the public interest, and WHEREAS, past practice in the field of enforcement of zoning has relied almost entirely upon the signing of required complaints by private citizens in the case of alleged violations of the City's zoning law, and WHEREAS, such practice not only subjects such citizen complainants to possible damage or other action for performing a public service properly the obligation of the city, it also tends to develop neighborhood discord, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Administrative Officer of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby directed, to designate an appropriate staff member or members to be identified by office held, whose directed duty it shall be, as representative of the City, to sign any complaint necessary to initiate enforcement proceedings in matters of alleged violation of the City's zoning laws when, upon appropriate investigation it is deemed that a violation exists and enforcement is necessary to preserve the public interest, and RESOLUTION NO. 1834 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T CITY OF ANAHEIM DIRECTING CITY RPPRESENTATIV.E TO HAVE DUTY TO SIGN COMPLAINTS AGAINST ZONING LAW VIOLATORS. FINALLY RESOLVED, that a staff member, so designated and so acting, shall be acting to discharge an official duty in the service of, and in the behalf of, the City of Anaheim.
