WHEREAS, Ordinance No 774 enacted February 27, 1951 and which will
become effective thirty (30) days after date of publication continues without
break or lapse the Land -Use Plan of the City of Anaheim as established by
Ordinance No. 609 as amended, and
WHEREAS, the enactment of said Ordinance No. 774 contains provisions
for some new or amended policies, standards and procedures, and
WHEREAS, the entire Land -Use plan as defined by said Ordinance No. 77
is intended to conserve public health, safety and general welfare it is
important that new development or proceedings conform to the policies and pro-
cedures now clearly defined by said Ordinance No. 774 in order to prevent
inequities or discriminations, and
WHEREAS, the erection of new buildings or the establishment of new
or relocated enterprises begun on or after the date of the enactment of said
Ordinance No. 774 could not reasonably be consumated before the completion
thereof might be contrary to the policies or standards established by said
Ordinance No. 774, and
WHEREAS, a precedent involving such circumstances is well established
by Miller vs. Board of Public Works, 195 Cal. 477,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Administrative Officer be, and
is hereby directed to instruct all administrative staff members in all pertinent
city departments, to be governed by the provisions of said Ordinance No. 774
from and after the date of this Resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this 13th day
of March, 1951.
