RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE AND INST, LLATION OF A RAW SEWAGE PUMP AND A CHLORINATOR AND EVAPORATOR IN THE JOINT OUTFALL SEWER TREATMENT PLANT WHEREAS, the sewage treatment plant of the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer is overloaded and new equipment is needed for the prop- er operatloW f the same to properly handle sewaje and industrial waste from the Ci ies and Sanitary Districts which are parties signatory to certain Agreements covering ownership, maintenance, construction and operation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R280 ED: That the City of Santo. Ana, as contracting City under the joint Agreements hereinabove referred to, is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids to ac- cept and award a contract to the lowest and best bidder for the fol- lowing items: A. One raw sewage pump to be installed in a dry pit to pump 6,000 gallons per minute against a minimum head of 29 feet and a maximum head of 36 feet, to be powered by a 75 horsepower motor operating at slow speed utilizing 44O volt, 60 cycle, 3 phase, elec- tric current. B. To furnish and install a chlorinator and evaporator and appurtenances at chlorinator station south of Highway 101 near the mouth of the Santa Ana River, with a capacity of 6,000 pounds per day. Said City of Rants, Ana is hereby directed to do all things necessary to expedite the awarding of said contrasts and the fur nishing, construction and installation of said items which are hereby declared to be necessary additional facilities. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That City of Arsau:4m hereby promises and agreee to pay its percentage of the total cost of such additional facilities as such percentage is set out in the joint agreement and supplements thereto for the joint construction of addl.. tional facilities' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That any offer heretofore made to 1 the sewerage pipelines and treatment plant is hereby modified to the extent that the percent of total cost of said additional facilities above referred to that is paid b and such percent of total cost of any other additional facility that is paid by City of Anaheim shall be and is hereby added to the price asked to effect eale and transfer of title to any agency or group of contracting districts.
