ANNEXATION, DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APP `AR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the 31st day of January, 1951, receive a written petition asking that certain new territory describ d in said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory, and said petition contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this Resolut'ox described; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received that at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition, it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one fourth (a) of the area and not less than one- fourth (a) of the assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to be annexed, according to the last preceding equalized county assessment roll; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received and from said petition that at the time of the filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a part of any municipal corporation and that said territory was uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and evidence and repor s received that the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows, to -wit: A tract of land including a portion of the SA of the SW. of Section 9 Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian and a portion of the E of the S of Section 8, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian and a portion of Euclid Avenue and Manchester Avenue, otherwise known as State Highway Route CRdi-14A, in Orange County, State of California and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the present westerly city limit line of the City of Anaheim, said point being on the west line of Loara Street 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 and 96.02 feet south of the North line of the Si of the SW* of the SWi of Section 9, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence nouthwardly along the West line of said Loara Street and the present city limit line and said line extended a distance of 237.42 feet to a point; thence S. 88 47' 48" W. a distance of 462 feet, more or less, to a point on the East line of the West 3 acres of the NAi of the SWW of the SW* of said Section 9; thence southwardly along said line S. 0 24' 28" E. a distance of 66.29 feet to a point on the Northeasterly right -of -way line of State Highway Route ORA 174A; thence northwestwardly along said right. -of -way line on a curve concave to the north whose radius is 1,945 feet a distance of 383.05 feet to a point; thence N. 55° 02' 20" W. a distance of 408.06 feet to a point; thence N. 0 43' 28 W. a distance of 216.70 feet to a point on the North line of the SWW of the SWi of said Section 9; thence westwardly along the North line of said Slit of the SW* of said Section 9 and said line extended a distance of 184 feet to a point on the westerly line of Euclid Avenue; thence S. 0 43' 28" E. along said Westerly line of said Euclid Avenue a distance of 26.18 feet to a point on the right --of -way line of State Highway Route ORA- -174A; thence along said right -of -way line S. 89 33 0" W. a distance of 133.37 feet to a point; thence continuing along said State Highway right -of -way line N. 57 13' 30" W. a distance of 1,387.70 feet to a point on the West line of the Mi of the Sat of Section 8, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence southwardly along said West line of the Ei of the SEi of said Section 8 a distance of 1,385.56 feet to the Southwest corner of the Ni of the SE. of the SMi of said Section 8; thence eastwardly along the South line of the Ni of the SEi of the SEi of said Section 8, and said line extended,a distance of 1,350 feet to a point on the Easterly line of Euclid Avenue; thence N. 0° 43 28" W. a distance of 244.41 feet to a point on the South» westerly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's right -of -way; thence S. 57 13' 30" E. along said right-of-way line a distance of 872.23 feet to a point on the present city limit line of the City of Anaheim; thence N. 32 46' 30" E. along the present city limit line a distance of 100 feet; thence continuing along the present city limit line N. 10 04 12" W. a distance of 95.54 feet to a point; thence continuing along the present city limit line N. 88 28' 36" E. 503.94 feet to the point of beginning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEI that such proposed annexation be designated as EUCLID AVENUE ANNEXATION and that notice of such proposed annexation be and the same is hereby given; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that 15th day of February, 1951, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock F.M., at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim, be and the same is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when and where any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council of the City of Anaheim and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed; that all persons having any objections to such proposed annexation are 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 1 6 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 re hereby notified to appear on said day at said hour and place to show cause, if y they have, why such territory should not be so annexed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized nd directed to publish at least once a week for two successive weeks prior to the 15th day of February, 1951, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circul— ation, published in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California.
