A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A LEASE WITH
THE ANAHEIM SCHOOL DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY
FOR A PUBLIC PARK AND PLAYGROUND (LINCOLN
SCHOOL SITE)
WHEREAS, the Anaheim School District of Orange County
is the owner of certain real property hereinafter described
lying adjacent to the Lincoln School and which is not or will
not, at the time of delivery of title or possession or in the
immediate future, be needed for school classroom buildings by
said District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires the use of said
property for a public park and playground; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim School District of Orange County
has offered to lease said property to the City of Anaheim for a
public park and playground, and has submitted to the City Council
a form of lease to be made and entered into by and between said
School District and the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
said property is an adequate and suitable location for a public
park and playground, and that such use would be to the advantage
and best interests of the City of Anaheim, the Anaheim School
District of Orange County and the general pUblic, and that offer
should, therefore, be accepted and said lease approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the lease this day submitted to the
City Council to be made and entered into by and between the City
of Anaheim and the Anaheim School District of Orange County for
the leasing of the following described property from said School
District for the purpose of developing and maintaining a public
park and playground, upon the terms and conditions set forth in
said lease, and for a term of twenty-five (25) years, commencing
on June 1, 1972, with an option in the City to renew and extend
the term for an additional 25 years, be and the same is hereby
approved.
Parcel One: The northerly 325 feet, as measured to the
centerline of Lincoln Avenue, of the easterly 25 feet of
Lot 2 of a part of the West half of Lot 9 of Anaheim
Extension, as shown on a map recorded in Book 1, page 53,
Record of Surveys, in the Office of the County Recorder
of Orange County, California.
Parcel Two: The northerly 295.00 feet, as measured to
the centerline of Lincoln Avenue of Lots 1 and 2 of a
part of the West half of Lot 9 of Anaheim Extension, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 1, page 53 of
Record of Surveys, in the Office of the County Recorder
of Orange County, California, excepting any portion
thereof lying within Parcel One above described.

Parcel Three: The northerly 25.00 feet of the southerly
525.00 feet of Lot 3 of a subdivision of the West half of
Lot 9 of the Anaheim Extension, as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 1, page 53, Record of Surveys, in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County,
California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said
lease for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 13th day of June , 19 72.
