1950-1799L t RESOLUTION NO. 1799 'A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MAGNOLIA TRUNK SEWER PROJECT AND FOR FURNISHING ALL LABORS AND MATERIALS Tm REFOR. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the Contracting Agent for the cities of Anaheim, Fullerton and Orange, and the Sanitary Districts of Buena Park, Garden Grove, La Habra and Placentia; and WHEREAS, said Cities and Sanitary Districts have heretofore duly passed and adopted resolutions authorizing the City of Anaheim to act as contracting agent for and on behalf of said Cities and Sanitary Districts in the construction of said Magnolia Trunk Sewer Project, and authorizing said City of Anaheim, as such contracting agent, to advertise for bids for the purchase of materials, and for bids for the construction of said Magnolia Trunk Sewer Project, and to award contracts therefor, and to do and perform all things necessary for the constructio and completion of said Magnolia Trunk Sewer Project; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds and determines that it is necessary to publish a notice inviting sealed proposals for the construction. of ,aid Magnolia Trunk Sewer Project, and for the furnishing of all labor and materials necessary and required to complete said Magnolia Trunk Sewer Project in accordance with the designs, plans and specifications hereinabove mentioned; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AS CONTRACTING AGENT for the cities of Anaheim, Fullerton and Orange, and for the Sanitary Districts of Buena Park, Garden Grove, Le. Habra and Placentia, that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the construction of the M+olia, Trunk Sewer Project of the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the detailed designs, plans and specifications, estimates of quantities and costs of labor and material for the Magnolia Trunk Sewer Project as prepared and submitted by Koebig and Koebig, consulting; engineers, be approved and adopted by said Cities and Sanitary Districts be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, and made available to all prospective bidders for the furnishing of said labor and materials for the con- struction of said Magnolia Trunk Sewer Project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the prevailing wage scale or per diem wages heretofore adopted by the City Council by resolution and now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, be set forth in the notice inviting bids; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said notice specify that the successful bidder or bidders will be required to enter into a contract with the City of Anaheim, as such contracting agent, in the form to be approved by said City ot Anaheim; anii BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 2nd day of January, 1951, at the hour of 8:00 P. M. of said day in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Anaheim, be and the same is hereby net as the day, time and place for opening of said bide, and that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim give due and legal notice by publishing said notice in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, published in said City and. County, and that the first publication of such notice shall be at least ten (10) days before the time of opening of bids, and that said notice shall be published at least twice in not less than five (5) days apart.
