BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TN CITY OF ANAHEIM THAT effective November 1950, the compensation of the following employees of said City be, and the same is hereby fixed as follows; AUDITING DEPARTMENT: Auditor City Clerk Deputy City Clerk Clerical Clerk Council Clerk (Special) Treasurer -Tax Collector Tax Clerk (Special) Personnel Clerk mini restive Officer Attorney And in addition thereto for extraordinary services such as appearance in Superior Court, or commissions established by law, such sums as the City Council may deem reasonable. In addition to above listed compensation, members of the Fire Department shall receive $8.00 per day pay for ten listed holidays, pay to be received during the months in which holiday occur. GARAGE AND SHOP: Superintendent Superintendent, Assistant Mechanic, Welder Mechanic Mechanic Extra 336.50 per month 34 273.5 per month 1.43 per hour 1.28f per hour 1.181 per hour STOREROOM: Superintendent 290.00 per month -Y/a" Storekeeper, Assistant 221.00 per month MISCELLANEOUS: Clerical Extra 1.08'= per our 40 40 4o 40 40 40 40 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in addition to the compensation above set forth that the employees of said City who are insured under a group life insurance plan, heretofore established by said City, shall receive additional compensation equal to the premium paid upon their respective lives by said City which additional compensation shall however not be paid directly to the employees but to the compan carrying such insurance and for such premium; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim shall deduct the sum of seventy cents each month from the salary of such employees insured as outlined in the fore going paragraph, which deduction shall be such employeets monthly contribution on the premium for such insurance; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in addition to the compensation above set forth that the regular employees of said. City are members of the Hospital Service of Southern California and California Physicians Service and shall receive additional compensa tion equal to the monthly charge for such service for each of such City Employees which additional compensation shall however, not be paid, directly to the employee but to the Hospital Service of Southern California and California Physicians Service; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim shall make deductions of authorize amounts from employeets salary payable to the Hospital Service of Southern Califor and California Physicians Service in payment of premium for dependents; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim shall make deductions of authorize amounts from employeets salary payable to the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in full payment of premium; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event an employee of the City of Anaheim is placed in part time position with said City after faithfully serving said City for a long period of years, such employee shall, during the first vacation to which he shall be entitled after being placed in such part time position, receive a salary based upon the salary received by him immediately before being placed in such part time position; the City Council shall by minute order, designate from time to time which of its employees shall be deemed to come within the scope of this provision, and its decision in making such desiguation shall be final. is 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 23 29 30 31 32 f! BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all applicants for position upon the Police and Fire Departments of said City, and all other applicants for positions with the City as the City Council shall from time to time designate, shall successfully undergo a physical examination, the character of which shall be in the form approved by the City Council of July 1, 1941, or such other form as the Council shall from time to time adopt. Such examination shall be upon said form to be furnished to the appli cant by the City Clerk. The City shall not pay to exceed Five ($5.00) Dollars for each such examination. No applicant shall receive said form from the City Clerk u shall the City be liable for the cost of any examinations, unless the City Council by its order, or a Department Head, by written authorization, shall approve the applicant for such examination. The physician examining such applicant shall be of a school recognized by the Industrial Commission of the State of California, an shall be in active practice with an office in the City of Anaheim; provided, how.- ever, that no applicant shall be examined by a physician who has examined or pro— fessionally attended either the applicant or any members of his family within five years immediately prior to such examination. Subject to the foregoing restriction the applicant may be examined by any physician he chooses. Immediately upon com— pleting such examination, the examining physician shall deliver the report of such examination upon said form, directly to the City Clerk. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that employees of said City shall have the following holi— days as vacation with pay: New Year's Day; Lincoln's Birthday; Washingtonts Birthday; Memorial Day; Independ— ence Day; Labor Day, Admission Day; Armistice Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day In the event holidays above mentioned shall fall on Saturday or Sunday the follow— ing work day will be taken in lieu of the holiday. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that employees receiving compensation on an hourly basis who shall be required to work for said City on the above mentioned holidays shall receive pay for hours they work on such holidays; and the employees shall receive no pay for any holidays wherein they do not work, other than the holidays above mentioned. Employees must have worked six months with the City to receive holiday pay on stated holidays wherein they do not work. An employee is not considered a regular employee until he has been employed for six consecutive months. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the heads of departments and all employees receiv— ing compensation on a monthly basis, who shall have at least one year's continuous service imrnedietely preceding, shall be given a vacation of two calendar weeks wit' pay each year in addition to the holidays above set forth. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all employees receiving compensation on an hourly basis, who shall have one year's continuous service immediately preceding, shall b given a vacation of eighty hours with pay each year in addition to the holidays above set forth.
