OF ANAHETY.
ERTAS, the Anaheim Chamber of ,ommerce located within the
City of Anaheim has special knowledge, experience and facilities
for promotion and advertising work, and
"TITTRFAS, the City Council finds that it would be for the
best interest and welfare of the City of Anaheim and the citizens
thereof to appropriate funds for the promotion ana advertising of
the Citj of Anaheim for the purpose of inducing the immiraLion of
industry, business and persons to said City, and
the City Council finds he staging of ivic
Proress 7eek and the Halloween Festival bring many people to the
city of Anaheim and have reat value in advertising he City of
Anaheim, and
ERAS, the City Council finds that a great deal of work
is required to be done in the development and expansion of industry
and in the extension of the city 1inits by means of annexation and
that the Chamber of Coffterce of the City of Anaheim is peculiarly
fitted and equipped 3o perform such work and render such services
and that it would be to the avantage and best interest of the City
of Anaheim to employ the Chamber of Com to render said services
and to aid in the promotion, advertising and expansion of industry
in the City of Anaheim and in the extension of thc city limits of
the City of Anaheim through annexation proceedin;s;

CIPY F that certain sums of money to aid in the promotion,
advertising and expansion of the City of Anaheim be appropriated and
set aside for the follo Inc; purposes and in the following amounts:
For the printing and distribution of naps, phamplets,

brochures and other printed material and for the collection
and dissemination of factual data, information and statistics
concerning Anaheim, the sum of *1400.00
For transportation expenses, labor ana office expenses in
the rendition of services in the development end expansion
of industry a.nd in obta'ninL information and aiding the
City in annexation Troceedino,s, the sum of ;"2000.00
For advertising, publicity anwt direct mall expenses 'or
aiding in the promotion and the staging of the annual
Halloween Festival, the suer of X2200.00
For aovertisin`, puhlicity any direct mail expenses in
staging Civic Progress eek, the sum of 400.00

be and it is hereby employed for the following purposes ann to rende
the following services:
1. To stage Civic Progress '''eek.
2. To render services in the development and expansion
of industry and also the extension of the city limits by means of
annexation by obtaining and furnishing to the City ;ouncil Informa-
tion and data relative thereto.
3. To tender services in the developrr:.ent and distribution
of laps, brochures, phamp,Let ex id. other printed ,material and 3ihe
collection and dissemination of factual data, information and statis-
tics concerning Anaheim.
4. To aid. in and carry on the work of inducing immigratior
of industry, business and persons to the City of Anaheim.
o. To perform such other services from time to time as
the City «ay require.
BF IT FUPTEFR RESOLV :D that the funds hereinabove appro-
priated and set aside shall be paid out upon demands presented to
the City and audited by it as required by law and shall be supported
by a statement of said Anaheim Chamber of Commerce showing the amour
of liability incurred as the basis of said claim. That said demands
shall be pnesented monthly to the City Council. Any expenses in
addition to said amounts set forth herein shall be paid by said

a written contract with the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, a copy of
