WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on ti e 22nd day of August, 1950, receive a written oetition asking that certain new territory described in said. petition. be annexed to one-fourth (;.4.) of the area and not less than one-fourth of the assessed. valuation of the land in such. territory proposed to be annexed, according to the last preceding equalized county assess- ment roll; and WHEREAS, the City Council fiads from evidence and re- ports received and from. said detition that at the time of the filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City at Anaheim did not form a part of any municipal corporation and. that said territory was uninhabited and Is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and. WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and. evidence and reports received. that the boundaries of the territory -1- 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 1! so proposed to be annexed to the City o: Anaheim are as follows, 2 to rit: 3 41 5 28 29 30 31 32 A tract of Land including a portion of Lot )2 of Anaheim Extension, as shown on a Map of a Survey made by William In 1868 and fLLed in 3ook 5, Pages 162 164 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, also a portion of East Santa Ana Street in the County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the °resent east city limit line of the City of Anaheim, said Point being the intersection of the monumented center line of East Santa Ana Street and the east property line of South East Street; thence N along the said monumented center line of East Santa Ana Street and the present city limit in a dis- tance oi L211.10 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner or Lot 12 Anaheim Extension; thence 5-15 a distance of 826.52 feet to a point; thence 3-74P-30 a distance of 605.59 feet to a point; thence N-15'-24 a distance of 801.71 feet to a point on the south line of Santa Ana Street; thence S-74 along tne south lino of said Santa Ana Street a distance o 605.55 feet to a point on the east line of South Er Street and the present city limit line; thence N along the east line of said South East Street and the present city limit lino a distance of 24.75 feet to the point of begin- ning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OP ANAEIM: That such proposed annexation be designated as MORRIS SUBDIVISION and that notice of such proposed annexation be and. the same is hereby given; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 12th. day of September, 1 950, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock.
