A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FIXING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO DE-
TERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THERE EXISTS SUCH A
SHORTAGE IN RENTAL HOUSING ACCOMMODATIONS AS TO
REQUIRE RENT CONTROL IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, citizens and residents of the City of Anaheim
have requested the City Council to hold a public hearing to determine
whether or not there exists such a shortage of rental housing ac-
commodations as to require the continuation of rent control in said
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the public interest
and welfare requires that such a public hearing be had and conducted
to determine whether or not a shortage of rental housing accommoda-
tions exists in the City of Anaheim;
NOW, THLREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEI CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM that a public hey ring be had in the City of Anaheim
upon the 8th day of August, 1950, at the hour of 8 otclock P. M. in
the City Council chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim
for the presentation of facts and evidence bearing upon the availa-
bility or non availability of rental housing accommodations in the
City of Anaheim and for the purpose of determining whether or not
rents should be de- controlled in said City of Anaheim.
Notice is hereby given to all persons interested in said
matter to appear at the time and place fixed for the hearing upon
said petition for the de- control of rents and to present any facts
and evidence they may have or wish to present to the City Council
relative to the question of whether or slot rents should be de- con-
trolled in the City of Anaheim.
AND BF IT FURTHER RESOLV I) that ten (10) days notice of
said public hearing be ,iven by the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim
by posting a copy of this Resolution in three (3) public places in
the City of Anaheim, one of which shall be at the City Hall, and by
causing a copy thereof to be published once in the Anaheim Bulletin,

a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in
the City of Anaheim, at least ten (10) days before the date of said
hearing.
