1950-17551 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 1755 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, CREATING A SPECIAL FUND TO BE KNOWN AS THE CITY EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT FUND AND PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE MUNICIPAL UTILITY AND FIRE DEPARTMENT FUND TO SAID SPECIAL FUND. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: THAT WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1676 the City Council did create and establish a sinking Fund known and designated as the Municipal Utility and Fire Department Fund of the City of Anaheim to accumulate and provide necessary funds to meet expenditures for the purchase of pipe, supplies, construction materials and labor for the Water, Light, Power, Sewer and Fire Departments of the City of Anaheim, and a fire truck for the Fire Department of the City of Anaheim, and WHEREAS, there is now accumulated in said fund the sum of Thirty -six Thousand Two Hundred Seventy -three and Fourteen /One Hundreths $36, 273.14 Dollars, which is no longer needed to meet expenditures provided for in said Resolution No. 1676, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds it is necessary and desirable to use said funds to meet the City of Anaheim's share of costs in the participation of the State Employees' Retirement System contract with the State of California, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to create and establish a special fund for said purpose and to transfer from said Municipal Utility and Fire Department Fund the funds remaining therein to said special fund: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that there be, and there is hereby created and established a special fund which shall be known as the City Employees' Retirement Fund of the City of Anaheim to accumulate and provide the necessary funds to meet the City of Anaheim's share of costs in the participation of the State Employees' Retirement System contract with the State of California, and 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 3 4 5 32 1 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to establish said special fund and designate it as the City Employees' Retirement Fund of the City of Anaheim and to transfer from the Municipal Utility and Fire Department Fund established by Resolution No. 1676, the sum of Thirty --six Thousand Two Hundred Seventy -three and Fourteen One Hundredths $36,273.14 Dollars to said special fund, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to transfer from the City General Fund to said special fund each month the sum of Five Thousand Five Hundred $5,500.00 Dollars, beginning on the 1st day August, 1950 for so long a period as he shall be directed so to do by the City Council by Resolution.
