2 1 RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE
WHEREAS, Clarence E. Brown, as owner of certain real
property located at 114 Mills Drive, in the City of Anaheim, Count
of Orange, State of California, described as Lot 7, Block 1, in
Tract No. 304, has filed with the City Planning Commission of the
City of Anaheim, a petition requesting that a variance be granted
permitting him to use a portion of garage as an accounting office;
an d
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from consideration and
investigation of the facts and the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission that:
(1) Special circumstances and exceptional conditions
do exist as to the property or classes of uses in the same zone or
district;

(2) That a variance is necessary for the preservation
and enjoyment of a substantial property right of said petitioner;
(3) That the granting of such conditional variance
will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the
property or improvements in the district wherein said property is
located, provided the conditions hereinafter set forth are complied
with:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, that a conditional variance be, and the same
is hereby granted to Clarence E. Brown permitting him to use a por-
tion of garage as an accounting office upon the following condition:
1. That said business shall be operated in accordance
with all laws of the State of California and Ordinances and Regula-
tions of the City of Anaheim.
2. That the present sign be removed from the front of
the house and be maintained only on the garage.
3. That the appearance of said real property, includinl
I all buildings thereon shall be kept and maintained with a satis-
factory appearance in keeping with the uses herein permitted.
4. That the maintenance and operation of said building
shall comply with all requirements of the Chief of the Fire Depart-
ment of the City of Anaheim as to safety and fire prevention.
5. That the City Council hereby reserves the right to
revoke said variance permit for good cause.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this s day of May, 1950.
