1950-17301 2 3 4 5 6 7~ 8 9 10' 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 Q6 27 28 49 30 31 34 RESOLUTION N0. 1~~ RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO 80EBIa AND I~OEBIa FOR ENaINEERSAiG SERV- ICES FOR TSE DESIGN OF A DIGESTER UNIT, AND AUTF~ORIZINa THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SEVENTY- FIVE FOOT DIGESTER ON THE SITE OF THE PRESENT SEI~AGE TREATMENT PLANT i~iHEREAS, the sewage treatment plant in the County of Orange near Verano Street and Ellis Street is overloaded and the immediate ~~ construction vt a new digester unit is necessary to properly handle the sewage and industrial waste from the Cities and Sanitary Dis- tricts which are parties signatory to certain agreements covering ownership, maintenance, construction, and operation; NOM, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the CITY OF SANTA ANA as contrasting City, is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contrast with the engineering firm of Koebig Bad Koebig for the design of a digester unit at the fee of tour percent (4~8) of the construction cost of suoh unit. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the CITY OF SANTA AATA, as contracting City, is hereby authorized and directed to proceed ae soon as the same may be done, to call for bide for the oonstruction cat a seventy-ties ('75) loot digester unit at the site of the presen treatment plant, to award the contract for suoh oonstruction to the lowest responsible bidder and to do all things necessary to expedite the construction of said digester unit which is hereby declared to be a necessary additional Facility. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City of Anahei$ hereby proaises and agrees to pay its p ereentage of the total oust of suoh additional F acilitie$ as such percentage is set out in th® point agreement and supple®ents thereto for the ,point oonstruction of additional facilities.
