RESOLUTION NO. 170+,
RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE
WHEREAS, Altha A. Dietsch, as owner of certain real
property situated at 817 North Sabina Street, in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as lot
Twenty -three (23) in Block A of Tract No. 530, as per map thereof
recorded in Book 20, Page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
said Orange County, California, has filed with the City Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim a petition requesting that a
variance be granted permitting her to convert two back rooms of
her home into an apartment for light housekeeping; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from consideration and
investigation of the facts and the sentiments expressed by persons
residing in the vicinity of said real property that:
(1) Special circumstances and exceptional conditions
do exist as to the property or classes of uses in the same zone or
district;
(2) That a variance isrecessary for the preservation
and enjoyment of a substantial property right of said petitioner;
(3) That the granting of such conditional variance
will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the
property or improvements in the district wherein said property is
located, provided the conditions hereinafter set forth are complied
with:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, that a conditional variance be, and the same
is hereby granted to Altha A. Dietsch permitting her to convert
two back rooms of her home into an apartment for light housekeeping
upon the following conditions:
1. That the remodeling and conversion of said two back
rooms into an apartment for light housekeeping shall be in accord-
ance with the Building Code and Building Regulations of the City of

Anaheim, and the State of California.
2. That the appearance of said real property, includ-
ing all buildings thereon shall be kept and maintained with a satin
factory appearance in keeping with the uses herein permitted.
3. That the maintenance of said building shall comply
with all requirements of the Chief of the Fire Department of the
City of Anaheim as to safety and fire prevention.
4. That the City Council hereby reserves the right to
revoke said variance permit for good cause.
THE FOtREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 18th day of October 1949.
