WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of AniLeirn finds it
necessary to establish off-street parkin L areas as near as possible
to Center and Los AnEeles 'Streets in the City of AncLeLei. and finds
that the establishment and maintenance of such off-street parhinR
areas are reasonably necessary and for the benefit and best interests
of the City of Anaheim, and
WHER'!EAS, Anna Thill is the oeTner of the property hereinafter
described, and as such owner of such real property has offered to sell
said real Jroperty to the City of Anaheim on the terms hereinafter
stated, and that said real prooerty is suitable and desirable for the
establishment and .maintenance of an off-street parking area, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that
it is for the benefit an best interests of the City of Anaheim to
accept said offer and. purchase said real prooerty on the terms and
conditions hereinafter set forth, and.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim further
finds that there Till be sufficient funds derived from the "Parhin
•eter Fund" to nay tne :purchase price for said real orooerty, a.nd_
that any obli of the City of Anaheim for the ourchase of
said property 7111 not and sha:11 not becorae a che v.ainst the
City General Fund or the .credit of the City of Anaheim, and. that
the o7 of seid land has apreed that the consideration for saia
real oroperty shall be paid solely from the "Parkin :T.eter Fund";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 07 THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM that the real prooerty hereinafter mentioned and describeC
be purchased from Anna Thill for the total sum of Seventeen Thousand
($17,000.00) Dollars, payable as follows, to-wit: Five Thousand
(5,000.00) Dollars upon the execution and delivery to the City of

Anaheim of a reood and sufficient deed conveying said property to the
City of Anaheim, together with a Policy of Title Insurance Ly a reou-
table title company of OranFe County, California, showing said wo-
Perty vested in said Anna Thill, free and clear of all incumbrances
except City and County taxes for the fiscal year 1949-50 and subject
only to conditions, restrictions, easements reservations and rights-
of of record, and the balance of said consideration shall be paid
annually in installments of Four Thoust7.na ($4,000.00) Dollars, or
more, on the lst day of July of each and ever:r year, commencing July
1950, and continuin until the balance of said consideration shall be
paid in fur, together with interest on the unpaid balance of said
consideration at the rate of five oer cent (5) per annum, nayable
annually, on the 1st day of July of each year, commencinE July 1,
1949.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said purchase is made upon the
express agreement and understandin that the Grantor will remove all
buildings from said property within sixty (60) days.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the entire consideration for
the purchase of said real property shall be paid solely from the
special fund of the City of Anaheim designated as the "Parking Heter
Fund" and that no part of the principal nor interest shall be or
become a charge against the City General Fund or general credit of
the City of Anaheim, but it shall be limited solely to payment from
the HParkin g 1:ietel- Fund".
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on behalf of saia City of
Anaheim, the City Council thereof does hereby accept that certain
Deed wherein and whereby said Anna Thill conveys to said City of
Anaheim the hereinafter described real property, and which Deed
embrE.ces the terms above set forth.
Said real property is situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, and more particularly described as follow
OriEinal City Lot 99 of the City of Anaheim, as
per maT) recorded in Book 4, pages 629 630 of
Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California.
