RESOLUTION NO.1676
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, CREATING- A SPECIAL
FUND TO BE IJNON AS THE MUNICIPAL UTILITY AND
FIRE DEPARTMENT FUND AND PROVIDING FOR TFTE
TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE ELECTRICAL RECON-
VERSION AND ENLARGEMENT FUND TO SAID SPECIAL
FUND.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT 'AIEREAS, by Resolution No. 1496, the City. Council did
create and establish a Sinking Fund known and desicnoted as the
Electrical Reconversion and Enlargement Fund of the City of Anahei
to accumulate and provide necessary funds to rneet expenditures
recuired in the reconversion and enlargement of the electrical
distribution system of the City of Anaheim, and.
WHEREAS, there is now accumulated in said funC_ the sum of
Eighty-two Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-eight and. Sixteen/One
Hundredths ($82,438.16) Dollars, which sum is no longer needed to
meet expenditures provided for in said Resolution No. 1496, and.
WHEREAS, the City Council of theCity of Anaheim finds that it
is necessary and desirable to use said funds to meet necessary
expenditures for the ourchaF: of Pipe, suPplies, construction
materials and labor for the Water, Light, Power, Sewer and. Fire
Departments of the City of Anaheim, and a fire truck for the Fire
Department of the City of Anaheim, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to create and establish a special
fund for said purposes and to transfer from said Electrical Recon-
version and. Enlargement Fund the funds remaining therein to said
special fund:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that there be, and there is hereby created and
established a special fund which shall be ',mown as the Municipal
Utility and Fire Department Fund of the City of Anaheim to

accumulate and provide the necessary funds to meet ex
required with the purchase of iie, supolies, construction mater-
ials and labor for the Water, Light, Power, Sewers and Fire
Departments of the City of Anaheim and for the purchase of a fire
truck for the Fire Department of said City of Anaheim, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the City of
Anaheim be,and he is hereb: authorized and directed to establish
said special fund and designate it as the Municipal Utility and.
Fire Department Fund of the City of Anaheim and to transfer from
the Electrical Reconversion and. Enlargement Sinking Fund establishe
by Resolution No. 1496, the sum of EiL:hty-two Thous-nd Four
Hundred Thirty-eight and Sixteen/One Hundredths ($82,438.16
Doltars to said special fund, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the City
of Anaheim be, and he is hereby cuthorized and directed to
transfer from the City General Fund to said special fund each
month the sum of FiveThouscnd ($5,0D0.00) Dollars, beginning on
the ist day of June, 1949, for a oeriod of to years or for such
longer period as he shall be directed so to do by the City
Council by Resolution.
