RESOLUTION NO. 473
RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE
WHEREAS, John O'Kane, as owner of certain real property situate
at 808 North Los Angeles Street, in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as Lot 3, Block 1, Mills Park
Tract, No. 304, has filed with the City Planning Commission of the
City of Anaheim a petition requesting that a variance be granted to
provide for the operation of a hosiery mill for the fashioning of
silk, nylon and cotton hose on said real property; and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds from consideration and investi-
gation of the facts and the report and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission that:
(1) Special circumstances and exceptional conditions do exist
as to the property or classes of uses in the same zone or district;
(2) That a variance is necessary for the preservation and en-
joyment of a substantial property right of said petitioner;
(3) That the granting of such conditional variance will not
be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the property
or improvements in the district wherein said property is located,
provided the conditions hereinafter set forth are complied with:
NOW, THEREFOR?, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, that a conditional variance be, and the same is hereby
granted to John O'Kane for the operation of a hosiery mill for the
fashioning of silk, nylon and cotton hose upon the following condi-
tions:
1. That the remodeling of said dwelling be in accordance with
the plans submitted with the application for a variance.
2. That said business shall be operated in accordance with
all laws of the State of California and Ordinances and Regulations
of the City of Anaheim.
3. That the appearance of said real property, including all

buildings thereon shall be kept and maintained with a satisfactory
appearance in keeping with the uses herein permitted.
4. That the maintenance and operation of said buildings shall
comply with all requirements of the Chief of the Fire Department of
the City of Anaheim as to safety and fire prevention.
5. That the City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
said variance permit for good cause.
