1949-1670RESOLUTION NO. 1670 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND GIVING NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED ANNEXATION DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERE ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the 25th day of September, 1948, receive a written petition asking that certain new territory described in said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim, and WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim.is situated in the County of Orange, State of Cali. fornia, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabite territory, and said petition contained a description of said terri tory in words and figures as hereinafter in this Resolution de- scribed, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received that at the time of the flig and receipt of said peti- tion, it was and now is signed by owners. of not less than one fourth (1/4) of the area and not less than one .fourth (1/4) of the assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to r be annexed, according to the last preceding equalized/ s roll, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports received and from said petition that at the time of the flli and presentation of said petition that said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a part of any municipal corporation and that said territory*** uninhabited, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and WHERFAS, the City Council finds from said petition and evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows; to -wit: Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 6, Miles Rancho, as per map recorded in Book 4, page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, rec- ords of Orange County, California; running thence northwardly along the w+,terly line of U. S. Highway 101, otherwise known as South Spada* Road, a distance of 779 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of said Lot 6, Miles Rancho; thence westwardly along the north line of said Lot 6, Miles Rancho, a distance of 10 feet; thence northwardly, parallel to the westerly line of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise known as South Spadra Road, to a point 30 feet south of the south property line of Orangethorpe Avenue; thence eastwardly, parallel to said south property line of Orangethorpe Avenue, to a point 10 feet east of the easterly line of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise known as South Spadra Road; thence eouthwardly, parallel to said easterly line of said U. S. Highway 101 otherwise known as South Spadra Road, to a point on the south lines of the Pfeninger Tract, as shown on a map re- corded in Book 7, page 26, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence westwardly along the south line of said Pfeninger Tract, a distance of 10 feet to a point on the easterly line of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise'known as South Spadra Road; thence southwardly, along the easterly line of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise known as South Spadra Road to an intersec- tion with the northerly City Limit Line of the City of Anaheim; thence westwardly along said northerly City Limit Line, and the north property line of Romneya Drive. a distance of 60 feet to the point of beginning.
