RESOLUTION NO. 1636 ,.1ro weit a44,4-e.(ia_kvz, WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on the 23th day of September, 1948, receive a written petition asking that certain new territory described in said petition be annexed to the City of Anaheim, and WH ELS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhibited territory, and said petition contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this Resolution described, and maw, the City Council finds that eatd petition is signed by owners of not less than ones- fourth of the area and not lees than one fourth of the assessed valuation of the land in such territory proposed to be annexed, according to the last preceding equalised assessment roll, and WHIMS, said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim does not form a part of any municipal corporation and it appears that said territ is uninhabited, and WHEREAS the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows, to -wit; Beginning at the southeast oorner of Lot 6, Miles Ransho, se per map recorded in Book 4, Page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; running thence northwardly along the westerly line of U. S. Highway 101 otherwise known as South Spadra Road, a distance of ?79 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of said Lot 6, Riles Rancho; thence westwardly along the north line of said Lot 6, Miles Rancho, a distance of 10 feet; thence northwardly, parallel to the westerly line of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise known as South Spadra Road, to a point 30 feet south of the south property line of Orangethorpe Avenue; thence eastvardly, parallel to said south property line of Orangethorpe Avenue, to a point 10 feet east of the easterly line of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise known as South Spadra Road; thence southwardly, parallel to said easterly line of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise ]norm as South Spadra Road, to a point on the south line of the Pfeninger Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 7, Page 26, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence westwardly along the south line of said Pfeninger Tract, a distance of 10 feet to a point on the easterly lime of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise known as South Spadra Road; thence southwardly along the easterly lint of said U. S. Highway 101, otherwise known as South Spadra Road to an intersection with the northerly City Limit Line of the City of Anaheim; thence westwardly along said northerly City Limit Line, and the north property line of Bonneya Drive, a distance of 60 feet to the point of beginning NOV, TORE, BE IT RBSOLYICD BY TBB CITY' C IU 1L OF THE CI T'i' 07 AN M That such proposed annexation be designated as SOUTH SPADRA ANNEXATION, and that notice of such proposed annexation be and the same is hereby given, and BB IT 'UMBER HRMOLflD that the 12th day of October, 1948, at the hour of 8100 O'clock P.M., at the City Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim, be and the same is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when and Where any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed, and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council of the City of Anaheim and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed; that all persons having any objections to such proposed an- nexation are hereby notified to appear on said day at said hour and place to show esuse, if any they have, why such territory should not be so annexed, and BE IT ?JRTHER RESOLYBD that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authoris- ed and directed to publish or cause a copy of this Resolution to be published at least once a week for two successive weeks prior to the 12th day of October, 1948, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California.
