A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAH* CANCELLING TAXES ON PRO-
PERTY ACQUIRED BY THE ANAHEIM SCHOOL
BOARD
WHEREAS, The Anaheim School District of Anaheim, California
acouired on June 26, 1948, and is now the owner of all that
certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to-wit:
Lot 5 of the Weiht, Freeman and koC1oughan
Subdivision, as shown on Licensed urveyors
Mao filed in Book 1, at page a of Records of
Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder
of said Orange County;
Exceptin therefrom the portion of the
North lying within South Street, as Eranted
to the City of Anaheim by deed dated September
13, 1911, and recorded in Book 210, at papa 6
of Deeds, Records of said Orange County;
Also excepting therefrom the V;et 125 feet
and the South 11 feet thereof,
WHEREAS, it appears that said property was formerly owned.
by Bert Hagan and Minnie Hagan and is assessed unon the Anaheim
City Assessment Rolls for the fiscal year 1948-49 to said Bert
Hagan and 'A.nnie Hagan, and
7!HEREAS, the said Anaheim School District has petitioned
the City Council of the City of Anaheim to cancel said taxes, and
it aPpearing to the City Council that said nroperty is now owned
by the said Anaheim School District, a political subdivision of
the State of California, and is exempt from taxes;
N07, THER7FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the
City of Anaheim that the city taxes levied and assessed against
said property for the fiscal year 1248-49 be and the same are
hereby cancelled.
