WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheirn finds it
necessary to establish off-street parking areas as near as possible
to Center and Los Angeles Streets in the City of Anaheim and finds
that the establishment and maintenance of such off-street parking
areas are reasonably necessary and for the benefit and best interes
of the City of Anaheim, and
HEREAS, the Hoskins Land. Co., a corporation, is the owner
of the property hereinafter described, and as such owner of such
real property has offered to sell said real property to the City of
Anaheim on the terms hereinafter stated, and that said real propert
is suitable and desirable for the establishment and maintenance of
off-street parking area, and
':ThEREAS, the City Council of the
is for the benefit and best interests of the City of Anaheim to
accept said offer and purchase said real property on the terms and
conditions hereinafter set forth, and
'frrIEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheirn further
finds that there will be sufficient funds derived from the "Parking
heter Fund" to pay the purchase price for said real property, and
that any obligation of the City of Anaheim for the 'Purchase of
said property will not and shall not become a charge against the
City General Fund or the credit of the City of Anaheim, and that
the owner of said land has agreed that the consideration for said
real property shall be paid solely from the "Parking keter fund",

conveying said property to the City of Anaheim, together with a
Policy of Title inauranoe by a reputable title company of Orange
County, California, showing said property vented in said Hoskins
Land Co., a oorparation, free and clear of all inouxbrances except
City and County taxes for the fiscal year 194$ -J49 and subject only
to conditions, restrioti.cns, easements, reservations and rights-of-
way of record, and that the balance of said consideration shall be
paid annually in installments of Two Thousand (42, 004.00) Dollars
or gore, on the lst day of September of each and every year
oommenoing September 1, 1949, and continuing until the balanoe of
said consideration shall be paid in full, together with interest
on the unpaid balanoe of said ooneidearation at the rate of five per
vent (5 per annum, payable annually, on the let day of September
of each year, oommenoing September 1, 1949
AND SE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the en consideration for
the purchase of said real property shall be paid sole from the
special fund of the City of Anaheim designated as the "Parking Mete
Fund" and that no part of the principal nor interest shall be or
come a charge against the City General Fond or general credit of
City of Anaheim but it shall be limited solely to payment from the
"Parking Meter Fund".
AND BE IT FURTHER VED that the said Hoskins Land Co., a
oorporation, may reserve a vendor's lien upon said property as
security for the unpaid portion of the purohase price.
AID BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on behalf of said City of Ana-
heim, the City Counoil thereof does hereby aooept that *ertain Deed
with Undoes Lien, dated August 194S, wherein and whereby
said Hoskins Land Co. oonveys to sale Oity of Anaheim the heretnaft
described real property, and which Deed embraces the terns above se
forth and reserves alto said Hoskins Laud Co. a Undores Lien upon
said real property.
