RESOLUTION REQUESTING ALLOCATION OF COUNTY GAS TAX MONEY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF LA PALMA AVENUE. WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, California, on June 15, 1948, adopted a resolution allocating not more than $110,310.00 from its gas tax monies as financial aid to all the cities of said Orange County for the improvement of streets of benefit generally to the people of said County of Orange; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is entitled to the sum of $13,281.00 under the provisions of said resolution; and. WHEREAS, West La Palma Avenue in the City of Anaheim is classed as a major city street by the State Department of Public Works and carries a large volume of traffic to and from the west and northwest sections of the County; and WHEREAS, said West La Palma Avenue is in a state of disrepair, and the City Council of the City of Anaheim desires to use the funds allocated by said County to said City under the provisions of said resolution for the improvement of said West La Palma Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim, that it request, and it does hereby request, the County of Orange to allocate the entire amount of said City's share of said County gas tax monies for the improvement of said West La Palma Avenue, as follows: From Los Angeles Street to Lemon Street, grade and pave with 4u asphalt concrete or plant mix, full width between curbs; From Palm Street towards the west city limits, so far as the amount allocated will permit, grade and resurface with bituminous surfacing of a thickness and width equal to that on the present county improvement of said avenue west of said city limits. The foregoing Resolution is approved and signed by me this 22nd day of June, 1948.
