RESOLUTION NO. 1594
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING
ALL WEEDS AND RANK GROWTH GROWING UPON PUBLIC STREETS AND VACANT
LOTS TO BE A NUISANCE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
That there are growing upon various streets in the City of
Anaheim and vacant lots adjacent to said streets certain weeds and
rank growth, and that said lots in the City of Anaheim are hereby
declared to be a nuisance.
The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Anaheim is hereby
authorized and directed to give notice required by law to the owner
of said vacant lots and streets adjacent thereto to remove the same,
as required by law.
Said Superintendent of Streets is hereby authorized and direct-
ed, upon the expiration of a period of ten (10) days after notice
as required by law, to remove any weeds and rank growth upon said
lots or streets that have not been removed, and to charge the cost
of the same to the lots cleaned and to the property adjacent to the
streets cleaned by said Superintendent of Streets.
Upon removal by said Superintendent of Streets of any of said
weeds or rank growth, said Superintendent of Streets shall report toy
the City Council the location and description of any property from
which he has removed said weeds or rank growth, and unless the cost
of such removal is paid by the ownersof said lots/ an of land,
or the owners of lots and parcels of land adjacent to said streets,
the same shall become a lien upon said property.
The foregoing Resolution is approved and signed by me this
13th day of April, 1945.

at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Anaheim,
held on the 13th day of April, 1948, by the following vote of the
members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Pace, Heying, Boney and Van Wagoner.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
And I further certify that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
approved and signed said Resolution on the 13th day of April, 1948.
