A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE SUBLEASING OF THE
HORACE MANN SCHOOL TO THE ANAHEIM FOUNDATION
FOR CULTURE AND THE ARTS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Anaheim School
District has deferred destruction of the Horace Mann School at
931 North Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, California and has leased
said property to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has determined that it is
desirable to sublease the premises to carry out the intent of
parties to establish a cultural arts center for the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Foundation for Culture and the
Arts desires to carry out this intent upon the terms and condi-
tions set forth in a sublease this day submitted to the City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the City does hereby sublease the premises
located at 931 North Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, California, known
as the Horace Mann School upon the terms and conditions of the
sublease this day submitted to the City Council and incorporated
herein by reference and made a part hereof.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Hayor and the Ci.ty
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
sublease for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is
hereby directed to furnish an executed copy of the sublease to the
Anaheim School District.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 30th day of May ____, 1972.
