A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM EXERCISING AN OPTION TO LEASE CER-
TAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM THE ANAHEIM SCHOOL
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim School District has deferred
destruction of certain school buildings known as the Horace
Mann School; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to use said
school buildings for a cultural arts center; and
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of March, 1972, the Anaheim
School District granted to the City of Anaheim an option to lease
said property for such purposes upon the terms and conditions set
forth in that certain lease dated March 14, 1972, this day sub-
mitted to the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the right to lease the Horace Mann
School at 931 North Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, California, granted
to the City of Anaheim by that certain option to lease dated
March 14, 1972, is hereby exercised and the terms and conditions
of the lease of said property are hereby approved.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said lease
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CitY,Clerk is hereby
directed to forward to the Anaheim School District a fully
executed copy of said lease and this resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 30th day of May , 1972.
