A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO.
1302.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a request for a conditional use permit from
BURTON ZOUL and AL ROBERTS PLYMOUTH, INC., owners; MOBIL OIL
CORPORATION, agent, to permit an automatic car wash in conjunc-
tion with gasoline sales on the following described real property:
PARCEL 1:
That portion of Lot 26 of Anaheim Extension, in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as
shown on a Map of Survey made by WIn. Hamel on file in
the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the East line of said Lot, North
150 32' 15" West 323.19 feet from the southeast corner
of said Lot, said southeast corner being the point of
intersection of the center line of Los Angeles Street,
with the center line of Ball Road, as said streets are
shown on said map; thence South 740 20' 15" West 230
feet to a point in the northeasterly line of Parcel 1
in the Deed to Werner R. Stoll and wife, recorded March
13, 1950 in Book 1983 page 592 of Official Records;
thence along said northeasterly line South 150 32' 15"
East 110.00 feet to an angle point therein; thence along
the northwesterly line of Parcel 2 in said Deed to Werner
R. Stoll and wife and its southwesterly extension North
740 20' 15" East 230.00 feet to a point in the north-
easterly line of said Lot 26, said point being the most
northerly corner of said Parcel 2 in said Deed to Werner
R. Stoll and wife; thence along the northeasterly line
of said Lot 26 North 150 32' 15" West 110.00 feet to
the point of beginning.
Said land is included within the area shown on a map
filed in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange
County in Book 18 page 42 of Record of Surveys in the
office of the County Recorder of said County.
PARCEL 2:
That portion of Lot 26 of Anaheim Extension, in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as
shown on a Map of Survey made by WIn. Hamel on file in the
office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California described as follows:

Beginning at a point in the northeasterly line of said
Lot 26, 323.19 feet North 150 32' 15" West from the
southeast corner of the center line of Los Angeles Street
with the center line of Ball Road as shown on said map;
thence North 150 32' 15" West along the northeasterly line
of said Lot 26 to a point 60.00 feet southeasterly of the
northwesterly line of that certain parcel of land described
in Deed recorded November 18, 1946 in Book 1456 page 555
of Official Records; thence parallel with said northwest-
erly line South 740 20' 15" West 200.00 feet, thence parallel
with the Northeasterly line of said lot South 150 32' 15"
East 60.00 feet; thence North 740 20' 15" East, 200.00 feet
to the point of beginning.

as shown on a Map of Survey made by wm. Hamel on file in
the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of said Lot 26, said
corner being the intersection of the center line of
Los Angeles Street with the center line of Ball Road as
shown on said map; thence North 150 32' 15" West 150.00
feet along the northeasterly line of said Lot 26; thence
South 740 27' 45" West 30.00 feet; thence South 860 33'
40" West 173.86 feet to a point in a line which is paral-
lel with and 200.00 feet southwesterly from said north-
easterly line; thence South 150 32' 15" East 131.13 feet
along said parallel line to a point in the southerly line
of said Lot; thence North 890 55' 15" East 207.51 feet
along said southerly line, said southerly line being the
center line of said Ball Road, to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom all oil, gas, asphaltum and other
hydrocarbons and other minerals as reserved in the Deed
dated April 30, 1952 recorded May 15, 1952 in Book 2330
page 403, of Official Records of Orange County, California.
Said land is included within the area shown on a map filed
in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County,
in Book 18 page 42 of Record of Surveys in the office of
the County Recorder of said County.

shown on a Map of Survey made by wm. Hamel and filed
for record in the office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeasterly line of said
Lot 26, North 150 32' 15" West 150.00 feet from the
southeast corner of said lot, said southeast corner being
the intersection of the center line of Los Angeles Street
with the center line of Ball Road as shown on said map;
thence North 150 32' 15" West 63.19 feet in a line 290.00
feet southeasterly of and parallel with the northwesterly
line of the land described in the Deed to R. L. Keith
et ux., recorded November 18, 1946 in Book 1456 page 555
of Official Records; thence South 740 20' 15" West 200.00
feet along said parallel line to a point on a line 200.00
feet southwesterly of and parallel with the northeasterly
line of said lot; thence South 150 32' IS" East 26.32 feet
along said last mentioned parallel line to the northwest
corner of the land described in the Deed to Petrol
Corporation recorded April 24, 1947 in Book 1492 page 410

of Official Records; thence along the northerly line of the
land of Petrol Corporation the following courses and dis-
tances: North 860 33' 40" East 173.86 feet and North 740
27' 45" East 30.00 feet to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said
request on April 3, 1972, notices of which said public hearing
were duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title
18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Codei and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, inves-
tigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after
due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said
hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. PC72-62 granting Conditional
Use Permit No. 1302 in part, subject to conditionsi and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty-two days from the
date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did
elect, upon its own motion, to review the action of the City
Planning Commission in granting said conditional use permit and
did thereupon fix the 16th day of May, 1972, and continuing the
same for hearing until the 23rd day of May, 1972, as the time and
the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as
the place for a public hearing upon said conditional use permit,
and notices of such public hearing were duly given as required
by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reportsi and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, after careful
consideration of the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
that Conditional Use Permit No. 1302 should be denied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anahe~m that the action of the City Planning Commis-
sion granting Conditional Use Permit No. 1302 be, and the same
is hereby reversed, and that the request of BURTON ZOUL and AL
ROBERTS PLYMOUTH, owners; MOBIL OIL CORPORATION, agent, to permit
an automatic car wash in conjunction with gasoline sales with
waivers of minimum number of free-standing signs and minimum
height thereof is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 23rd day of May, 1972.
