1947-15761 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 1576 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 1536 AND RESCINDING SALE OF REAL PROPERTY TO COPERN WOOD PRODUCTS CORPORATION WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of the hereinafter described real property, and WHEREAS, heretofore, to -wit, on the 8th day of April, 1947, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, the offer of Copern Wood Products Corporation to purchase said real property for the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000.00) Dollars was accepted, and upon which a deposit of Four Hundred 0400.00) Dollars has been made, and the Mayor and the-City Clerk of the City of Anaheim were authorized, upon receipt of the balance of said purchase price, to execute and deliver to said Copern Wood Products Corporation a good. and sufficient deed conveying to them said real property hereinafter described, and WHEREAS, said Copern Wood Products Corporation has failed, refused and neglected to nay the balance of said purchase price after written demand upon them to do so; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that Resolution No. 1536 be and the same is hereby rescinded, and the sum of Four Hundred (40G .00) Dollars paid by Copern '.Wood. Products Corporation upon the purchase of said pro„ert be returned to said Copern "Wood Products Corporation. That said real property hereby affected is situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and mare particularly described as follows, to -wit: A tract of land in the City of Anaheial, County of Orange, State of California, including a portion of Lots 40 to 49 inclusive, of the Schaffer Oswald Subdivision, as shown on a map thereof filed in Book 7, page 41, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, also including a portion of that certain abandoned street formerly known as Julianna Street lying between said Lots 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44 and said Lots 45, 46, 47, 48 and 49, of said Schaffer Oswald Subdivision, said tract of land being more particularly described as follows: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 Beginning at a point on the north line of East La Palma Avenue, which point is 30 feet north of the monumented center line of said East La Palma Avenue and 786.79 feet Eastwardly measured along said north line, from the monumented center line of North Olive Street, said point being 30 feet West of the EastCity Limit Line; thence Northwardly along a line parallel to the East City Limit Line a distance of 350 feet to a point, said point be- ing the true point of beginning; thence continuing Northwardly along a line parallel to the East City Limit Line a distance of 220 feet to a point; thence West along a line parallel to the north line of said East La Palma Avenue a distance of 188.25 feet to a point; thence Southwardly along a line parallel to the monumented center line of said North Olive Street a distance of 220 feet to a point; thence East along a line parallel to the north line of said East La Palma Avenue a distance of 188.90 feet to the point of beginning, contain- ing 0.96 acres, more or less. The above parcel subject to a 5 -foot eastment for utilities along the westerly line thereof. The North Olive Street referred to in the above description is the Olive Street conveyed to the City of Anaheim by deed recorded February 1, 1926, in Book 625 of Deeds, page 367, Orange County Records. Griffith, City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing Reso.ution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 28th day of October, 1947, by the following vote of the members thereof: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Pace, Heying, Boney and Van Wagoner. NOES: COUNCILMEN: None. ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None. And I further certify that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim signed and approved said Resolution on the 28th day of October, 1947.
